How many cars now days don't have blinkers on the front sides?
People get used to seeing them and if they don't see the turn signal we might as well have not used them.
Since I have did the mod I noticed people are more courteous when I flip the signal

I did this tonight in preparation for the Rotary Rasp one touch sunroof mod.
https://www.rx8club.com/group-buy-center-85/gb-one-touch-close-sunroof-module-141615/
Toughest part was taking the kick panel out.
After the two nuts are removed from the foot rest and removed.
The 'trick' is to pull the rubber up in the inside corner of the door this allows the clip that the panel hooks on under it to release.
To tap the green / yellow wire I separated the wire and threaded the 'eye' with the correct pink / black wire which had a section about 2.5 inches exposed.
Wrapped it around the green / yellow wire and pulled it tight to close the 'eye'. Then I put a zip tie around the two wires to prevent any pulling.
Test the sunroof to make sure the mod worked.
Lastly I taped it up so there is not any exposed wire.
Reassemble the kick panel and foot rest.

SO I went to to this mod today, knowing it would only take about 15 minutes. I get the whole thing apart and turns out the wires are different colors on the 2009 model. Does anyone know what the new wiring should be?
I can still see the two P/B wires, and one of them looks like the right spot, but I'm not sure. I looked at the OP's picture and none of the same color wires were matching up on the sides of the P/B. Instead of a G/Y wire for the power I have a R/B and a B/Y.
Anyone have any idea? I've linked a rather crappy picture of the R/B wire(B/R, I can't really remember which it is, but it is thinker than the rest).
I think I'll have to tap into the R/B wire instead of the G/Y, but I want to be certain I get the right other wire. I figured I'd toss this out there.

Sorry for the blurry pics, but it is really hard to get a good shot in there. And this was the best one without a flash. The X09 connector was really messing up the picts and washing out the color.

It has been a while since I did that mod. Is there more than one harness that you see when you pull the fuse box up?
The connector you took a picture of looks like smaller wires. I don't see the orange wire that should be next to the green/yellow (which is a thicker gauge than the pink / black)

Yea the wires don't match up at all. I really want this mod sense I always forget to close the sunroof before turning off the car.
I see two harnesses, which is the same as OP. There is one right under the fuse box and then the one you see in the picture above it.

Moderator, lovely moderator, please sticky this thing. It has bothered me for years. Someone should have thought of this at Mazda. I used to have a car that would close all window if you press and hold the key button. Miss that.

Eish check out my DIY to do this with factory remote. Lock x2 closes all windows. unlock x3 opens all.
