OK, so who wants to start mass producing these things? I'd be up for buying one....even if it didn't light up.

Sure it can stay on if you want to. You can wire to turn on by a switch or have multiple bulbs and combine those as you want it to function. In this case, it function as a break light as well as running light at night.

As for making it for sell? I doubt it will make it in the market since I have no plan on marketing. Maybe someone will be inspired enought to start mass producing; especially the aluminum polished pieces can be cut and mass produce.

i want to get some type of light down there...even if it's just a red LED that's spliced into the running lights

My thoughts: I'm not too fond of the big aluminum thing, so I was wondering if some other system might be rigged up with a bit of lexan / plexiglass, some reflective "chromed" plastic and some red LEDs (since I've been installing the "stealthed" bulbs everywhere else, I wouldn't want to deviate). I reckon you could tap the same wires for it and run the LED.

If I can get time in the next week or so, I'll see if I can come up with anything.

nicely done romulus...thats more the route i want to take
don't like the full aluminum piece that some put in, but i'm not convinced yet i like the fog light down there

i'm almost thinking something indirect, a nice glow without even seeing the bulb or LED itself...but since that piece back there is solid, that might not be an option without getting clever...but thats where all the fun is, right? :D

I know this thread is going on 2 years old but where are the pics? If the pics were still here this DIY would still hold some value.

Hopefully some of the people who worked on this thread still have pics they can repost.

Thanks.
