DIY: Running Light Install

So I decided to improve the front end of my 8 with some Porche style LED running lights.

First step, removing the bumper.... easy part was locating and removing the bolts and secring plugs, harder was disconnecting the fogs and headlight washer system, but only because access was tight

This view shows the inside of the bumper

I decided to install the LED's running across from the centre of the Fogs, like the new Porche Cayman. By themselves, there was little to attach them to, so I was going to need some supports.

this is the appeture from behind

so I made up some simple bent wire supports to go horizontally from the fogs to the bumper

Next, I sprayed them satin Black to blend in with the Oil coolers so you would't notice them once installed and Epoxy'd them in

Next step was to epoxy the LED's to the support and the Fog. Initially just put a little on to verify position and angle

After trial fitment and I was happy, I added extra epoxy to make the lights securely attached. I took power from the Park lights, so I can have the running lights on without the mains.

And here they are.. fully installed and functional

Just need some v-leds for the running lights inside the headlight unit What type of epoxy did you use? 2 part 5 minute cure?

That looks real nice! Great job! I got a couple of questions though:

1) Where did you get the lights?

and

2) How do you think it would look if you had a light bar long enough to cover the entire opening? (such as eliminating the fog lights, or for those who may not have fog lights)
