These: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=33202

Also very useful when installing an AFE short shifter.

Oh ok thanks.

btw, do I use them to release the reflector? I've tried using a screw driver, it loosened the reflector but it's not out yet. It's stuck. lol.. God, I'm a noob.

Great DIY. I started at 1 in the morning and finished in 15 mins. Although I decided to do my foglights replacement bulb after that since i was already in that area.

Thanks!

Why is putting in amber bulbs needed? These side markers are running lights and not turn markers so being white is fine?

Technically, a car needs to have both an amber side marker AND an amber side reflector at the front (to meet US regulations). The stock side marker is both light and reflector. But most people run the side marker with a white bulb (LED most of the time) and have no problems.

Just want to say thank you for the guide. I used it to install my JDM clear corners, and they look a lot better than I thought they would! For some reason beyond me, my car already had clear bulbs in it so I don't have that yellowish tint in them, either. I'm pretty satisfied.

But anyway, yeah, thanks for the guide! It was all very simple, but I wouldn't have felt comfortable doing it without this.

Sorry quick question. My corners came with bulbs inside which means i only have to disconnect the old bulbs and connect to the new ones that came with it. Do i need to disconnect my battery to do the swap ?? Quick answers please im doing this right now

You do not need to disconnect the battery to switch the light bulbs (see picture in post #9 in this thread).

If what you mean is that your corners included a bulb socket, you can simply remove the new sockets and discard them and then use the existing socket installed on your car. You will still want to switch to the amber bulb.

Yes, Just move the new bulbs to the old sockets and plug the old sockets into the new clear corners.

If I remember correctly, you turn the socket counter clockwise about 1/4 turn and it should then come straight out.
