Yes, to some degree.
On an N/A car, an aftermarket intake is just a noise maker.
Don't get me wrong - you can recalibrate the MAF scaling in the AccessTUNER software, but it requires extensive testing of each combination - something that will take a long time.
So, the first round of calibrations will contain somewhat "generic" data for aftermarket intakes that can be fine tuned through feedback.

funny... for years its been a struggle to get 200 rwhp in NA tune reliably and repeatedly (i could make the case at times some cz's got there)... then almost overnight 220rwhp looks relatively easily achievable

220rwhp or about 15 short of a stock 350Z but with a few hundred pounds less weight

was just thinking... the used market for rx8's might actually go up if word on the street gets out that our cars can actually make some amount of power

220whp could keep me from going FI this year. I still need to put on a new roof and siding on my house before putting it up for sale. The AP is one of the steps to FI anyway so it is still money towards FI.

In this day and age, making 200 whp doesn't mean squat. I don't think it'll matter.

Even 350 is like, "so what"

Still, I can't wait till I have 350

Anyone know if the baseline and the tuned dyno runs were done back to back? The graph shows the baseline with a date 02/01 and the AP flash run on 02/25.
