Mustang or not the important thing is percent change. Peak power changes +8% but the stop RPMs aren't the same the. The 204 number should probably be 208 if you continue the line -- that's 10% better. Midband power changes are as much as 18% at 6000 RPM.
The average power increase was 13%. That means acceleration to any given velocity will be at least 13% faster than before (traction limited of coarse).
If your 0-60 is 6.5 seconds, look for it to become 5.8 seconds which is a little better than what the car was supposed to do originally.
-Mr. Wigggles
PS. I am assuming these dynos are altitude corrected?

Please riddle me this....
I thought the standard procedure with AP users is buy AP. Go to Cobbtuning.com and download base maps.
With my old AP I (that I am used to anyways), Cobb provided many other maps - stage I, Stage II and for different octane. Also they included some nifty maps like valet mode, economy mode, anti-theft mode etc. Is this no longer the case?
thanks.

At the moment, they don't have any maps up.
Furthermore, the boosted maps will be somewhat more general than the maps I will be offering.
I don't know. That is why I'm trying to get all the first-wave type people (like myself) onto my current purchase order.

Jeff, some more questions:
1. What's your take on the reflash? Runs like OEM? Any drawbacks so far?
2. How is your current map setup? Are you still tweaking it, or is it already up to snuff?
3. Do you have an ETA on when your order of accessPort's will arrive?
4. How close will your out of the box tune work for us? Will it be the typical "rich" tune that needs to be custom tuned for each car like we've grown to expect from the piggybacks?
5. Assuming the tune needs to be custom tweaked for each car, how close to a proper tune will the remote tuning service you offer be compared to the standard dyno tune that is usually done?

Just like stock, only it continues to fuel the motor when it gets into boost. The only drawback is that it pops more because of the BOV.
Since I don't have a clamp function like the one in the E-Manage, I can't tell the MAF to ignore the air that goes out the BOV.
The right way to do it is to recirculate, but I don't really care about the popping.
I never stop tweaking. I am looking to see how much boost it can cover. Since the PCM uses calculated load rather than absolute air mass or pressure to compute its fueling, Iwe are constrained by whatever the PCM thinks the limit on the MAF is.
At the moment, the maximum calculated load is 2.0, which should work out to about 13 or 14 PSI on this turbo.
Cobb is working on increasing the calculated load limit to 5.0, though I think the MAF will max out at 2.2 or so.
Absolutely no idea. Sorry. The PO will go in on Tuesday when the rest of my paperwork hits Cobb. I expect Scott at Cobb to give me an E.T.A.
No. It should work perfectly - if you setup is identical to the setups used to make the maps. Different intake tubes and, to some extent, exhausts will play with the accuracy of the calibration. I will package multiple versions of each tune with different scaling. You will just look at your STFT/LTFT after a bit of driving and see if it is flat. If not, try a different flash incrementally.
Basically, nothing is better than tuning on a dyno. However, the flash should be so close that all it takes to get a perfectly running car is to select the correct calibration from the menu that matches your car's setup.
Of course, anything that can go wrong will go wrong, so I can just send you corrections based on your feedback which should address your issues.
I am not going pig rich on these tunes - the PCM has such fine fuel control that you don't need a ton of fuel to cover mistakes or holes.

Great.
btw, pop = flames? Lucky for me I already have recirculate fitting on my intake tube, and a recirculate fitting for my BOV, so I can change it around quickly. I'll try without initially though.

Ships with Stage 1, Anti-Theft Mode, and Valet Mode.
Stage1 will feature
1) Fuel curve optimized for N/A performance.
2) Ignition leading, trailing, and separation optimized for N/A performance.
3) Rev Limiter increased to 9300 RPM.
4) Cooling fans can come on at a lower temperature.
Additional maps and changes to existing maps (ie: idle RPM increases) and refinements will continue to be made and available for free download from our website. No need to send the unit back for updates, experience any downtime, etc.
FI and other custom maps are becoming available from other extremely talented tuners around the country such as MazdaManiac, ProTech, P&L, and more.

The RX-8 version doesn't have that table.
There are a LOT of differences between the Subie version and the RX-8 version.
Wish I could show you.
They've been adding features this week. There are some new maps in the newest version I got yesterday. I'm still waiting on some of the features I asked for and some of the changes I wanted.
There are also more differences between the '04 the '05 and the '06/'07 than I would have thought.
Mazda completely reworked the fueling.

so let me make sure I have the info right. If I get this, use it N/A for now, then wait for someone to make a greddy map for it, install a greddy kit. Then I won't have to use the piggyback emange?
Also if does it keep the original factory setting so you can go back to it when needed?

my biggest fear with the greddy is that the emanage throws a CEL. I assumed this was because of the way the emanage tricks the computer into letting it control the fuel? And since this isn't a piggyback system, it shouldn't have to trick it?

Sorry if I missed it but what all will I be able to monitor with the accessport? water temp, etc..) they say no more use for aftermarket gauges but that screen on the accessport is a bit small and what if I want to monitor multiple sensors???
So the only difference in these stages are the maps and these will be avaliable for download for free through cobb tuning right?

The AccessPORT is not a great scan tool. It works reasonably well, but the screen is small, so you are limited to one item at a time.
AccessPORTs ordered through me will include a bunch of maps on them.
Cobb will have additional maps available relatively soon and some time this year (maybe even in March) the retail version of the software will be come available, so you can do your own tuning.
Until then, I can make changes for you as needed.

Showed up at around 10:45 and rolled the car onto the dyno right away. We ran 5 baseline runs, and ended up with 171.0 hp and 124.1 lb-ft of torque. (No charts as of yet, just waiting for the email, or I could snap pics of the ones I have). Then the scary moment came. They downloaded the Cobb map, went to flash my car, and the AP locked up after it showed 100% flashed. It came back with a communication error, and could no longer talk to the car. So, Adam at RP got on the horn to Cobb. Long story short, 4 hours later, we received the upgraded firmware for the device and were able to resume testing.
We ran quite a few times on the Cobb map, until it seemed to be stabilizing. Once again, no charts as of yet (unless I take pictures) but I ended up with a 10.3 hp gain, and a mere 4 lb-ft increase in torque. Once the firmware was upgraded the AP worked great. I kept it plugged in for the drive home and messed around with some of the live data monitors again. The plots of stock vs stage 1 flash, are nearly identical on the dyno charts, just bumped up in power.
Very, very initial impressions: once up in the rev band, there seems to be slightly less hesitation (not that there was much before). I'll have to drive around some more and see what else arises. Looking forward to the feedback once Cobb analyzes the data they received from RP.
Dyno Dynamics dyno...61 degrees, 22% humidity.

What all if any mods do you have done to your car?
Are you able to monitor any of the following; oil temps, oil pressure, A/F, and Fuel pressure?
Also are you only able to monitor via the accessport or can you plug into laptop as well?
