AccessPORT Alpha test started

the pcm does have a finer grain of control than the piggybacks though, so I think it's possible to squeeze out a bit more power, but in general they're all doing about the same thing and will get about the same result.

Here's the long awaited TeamRX8 220 rwhp Mustang dyno graph from Cobb Tuning.
The numbers are just a tad different than I remember seeing (221.7/143.6) on the readout, so I may have recalled an earlier readout or this wasn't the final run. We made quite a few runs that day, so I'm not sure ...![Dunno](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

And what it is more @8500 rpm and the engine seems to have some more left (based on the torque curve) !!!!
I would not mind to see what happens beyond 8500 rpm but I am prettry excited about the results below that speed. Simply amazing.
Pitty Cobb AP has not developed the Euro Spec version.
Enjoy your "new" car.

I do recall asking Christian to wind it out fully at the end, maybe this is where I saw the extra few rwhp? I was still on using the 9000 rpm OE rev limiter, but it definitely didn't drop off on the very top like like the OE graphs. So there was probably some benefit to having a higher limiter, but they were still working out the details on that piece of the software puzzle at that time.
Note that the very bottom point of my graph is almost identical to the one posted several pages back. My graph is only slightly better up to around 5000 rpm then ramps up quite a bit more from there.

im just wondering if people who do not have teamrx8's custom parts will be capable of reaching around 220 whp with the accessPort with the maps that will be available through either cobb or MM or others.
i know other piggybacks could do the same but this option seems so much more simpler, especially for those who do not have access to a tuning pro or just want something simpler than a piggyback.

accessport is not a magic bullet. You should expect similar results to using a emu, int-x, etc.

The reverse of what you're saying is that his CAI and single sided exhaust did not have any gains, or can be easily replicated with whatever bolt ons you have.

I'm shooting for 320-340 whp.
and my entire exhaust system is 2.5"
b&b catless + hks legamax.
would be interesting to see the numbers if I got a full 3" exhaust with no other changes though.

If I put the boost back down to 9 psi, we can compare.

Only because I didn't have to use it as a daily driver,. It was more than capable and fully street legal including state emissions compliance.
it was a factory engine too, for all I know it was low on compression even, never been checked ... my results are posted and simply speak for their self. If I didn't care about emissions and tinkered with the internals, who knows ...
however, I have nothing but praise and admiration for Mazmart.

If you look at cobbtuning.com the only maps they have available at this time are for Subaru and Mitsubishi models. Does anyone know when cobb is intending on releasing the stage 1 map or are they automatically just uploading this map when you purchase the product?

Any AP you buy from me will have dozens of different maps on it for different intakes, injector sizes and levels of modification.
You will also be able to specify things like idle speed, OMP rates, throttle response and target EGT.
Cobb will have many more maps from me and other sources on their site in the coming months.
Between that and the level of service I provide, you wont even need the software unless you are an incorrigible tweaker like me!
Yes. I talked with Scott via e-mail this morning. We had to work out a few details about swapping my HASP with a new one so I could flash the new APs with my locked and branded maps and such. He has a PO from me for a dozen APs now and another dozen in a few days.
He is out of the office sick today, so he should be able to do my order fulfillment tomorrow.
Everyone that already paid for an AP will get updates from me as I receive news on their progress from Cobb.

Very nice! The day has finally arrived that we have a useful product for our cars that provides amazing gains and all for under 700 dollars..
What more could you ask for.
I'll definitely be placing an order soon.
