I am currently in the process of setting up my Modular PNP in the RX8, but I have issues getting the OEM o˛ sensor to read the AFR values. Is there something in the settings that has to be changed before it can read it? I already put it on Analogue only and Wideband, it shows a voltage value which changes with the ignition on and the car running, but thats it, no further changes and no AFR values. My tuner already told me that he has tuned the car from a collegue and that did show the AFR values on the OEM sensor. But he wasnt at work so he couldnt check how it was set up.

I had the same issue, but neither Adaptronic support, nor the dealer Tuned by Shawn, seemed interested in getting it working. They both kept telling me to use the Adaptronic wideband module and sensor, which I had purchased as well. But the Adaptronic wideband read much leaner than my ProSport wideband, which matches OEM sensor on the OEM ECU much closer. For example, at idle the OEM sensor on the OEM ECU reads 14.7 while the Prosport reads 14.4. With the Adapronic ECU installed Adaptronic/Eugene shows 13.5AFR at idle while the ProSport shows 12.2AFR, much larger discrepancy. I wanted to get the OEM sensor working with the Adaptronic to compare but it didn't work. I experienced other quirks as well and I ultimately returned it based on not as advertised, since one if the selling points I bought on was compatibility with the OEM O2 sensor.

In my situation I confirmed with both Adaptronic and the dealer that I would get a unit that supports the factory O2 sensor prior to purchasing. Nobody could get it to work though.
I just checked and I have the latest firmware installed. I mailed Adaptronic, but it will be monday before I get an answer to that. In the mean while I also asked Turbosource, and the answer was that on some cars it works and others it just doesnt. That will probably be true, but why on some and not just all. If the wires are in the same spots on the loom and connectors, it should work wether its a 2004 or a 2007. Going to try tomorrow with some other settings and it that doesnt work I have no other choice than to buy the module a bit sooner.

I'm also planning to get the WB module; has anyone compared the adaptronic WB readings to that of an aftermarket gauge to see any discrepancy? Planning to get another O2 bung welded into my BHR midpipe beside the existing AEM UEGO O2 Sensor.
Also somewhat related, I'm unsure at the moment if the Canadian cars are slightly different CAN bus signals as I've talked to a couple people here that have REW swapped and they have so far been unable to get Traction Control, ABS, and Cruise to work. These are all features I want to keep with my swap so I've been talking with Adaptronics and I am going to log a "CAN Sniff" with my Renesis and stock ECU installed with the Adaptronic wired into the OBD2. Planning to get this sorted in October some time after I park the car for the winter/REW swap.
I sure hope everything works as it should. If I get a driveable map this weekend, i'll test those features. But I also would like to know what is better for wideband after seeing those differences between the module and another sensor with gauge...
I’d personally be more inclined to trust their WB setup over anything else. Every dyno etc. always indicated quite a bit different AFR than my Cobb/factory O2 did
I also have canadian car and everything is working as it should make sure to check the usdm abs module box if traction control and stuff is not working but im using innovate wideband and it works great

To be fair I was very interested in getting it working but it was out of my hands... Adaptronic did tell me that it was not a priority to make the stock O2 work as there are many replacement options. You threw in the towel right as adaptronic was going to credit you back for the wideband O2 sensor to make up for you being unhappy. Which I did not tell you since you had already asked for your money back and did not want to wait any longer...
Also just so everyone knows seeings how slash made this post. I sold both of his ECUs to other customers who had ZERO ISSUES cars are tuned and still running to this day. The customer who used his wideband O2 module and sensor did not have the same issues as slash so I have a feeling there is something missing between the two cars. Also for the record those customers knew that they had been used on another car...
It seemed a bit strange to me, but it’s his car and resources even if it was based on what was cobbled together previously. It makes sense that WB module is going to be more accurate and then possibly read different with a direct high speed connection with known quality O2 sensor.

I saw they did some Canada and UK RX8 updates last month.
Is anyone doing CAN/display setups? I haven’t been able to locate much if any specific CAN information in general, or specifically for the RX8. Just asking here since there’s no point trying to contact Adaptronic until
after the weekend.

Interesting, after chatting with Shawn today I'll be doing the sniff of my CAN anyways. If it was pointless then whatever but if it does help some guys with Canadian cars get the Adaptronic fully functional then awesome! I've talked with 2 guys here that both don't have traction or ABS and also had a few discussions with Adaptronic tech who are admittedly unsure if the Canadian CAN is any different from the USDM one; time will tell for me I guess
According to Adax, the ABS issue was only on DSC versions that use the DSC-specific ABS module and was resolved in a firmware update around the beginning of this year.
Guess I’ll need to get a hold of Adaptronic then. There should be information readily available for CAN from them without having to sniff it out.

In my case the difference was substantial, 1.0-1.5AFR between the two.

Any other issues you'd like to cover? I know I have my list. In fact, we set up an appointment and... you were a no-show....
I am happy for your other customers (if, indeed, they've had no issues... easy for you to claim with no proof). But based on the other reports we've seen there seems to be differences in success between cars, so my advice is to just be honest with customers. It should not be blanket advertised that a feature "works" if it does not work across all platforms. At least give the heads up that there may be issues. As you stated, you "have a feeling there is something missing between the two cars". I don't want to see others getting burned. So let's keep discussing.
