Adaptronics stand alone rx8 ecu

Also not to mention the population of this forum is lacking... most of my customers are not even on this forum (which you may now be one of them) and they are not having issues or complained of issues. Yes some people do have very real issues but most do not and the ones with issues that matter the most IE traction control and ABS those issues are address as fast as possible unfortunately not fast enough for some but they are top priority. Some issues like making the factory wideband O2 work is not a priority which has only been a problem for one person that I know of..

Just curious, how come you aren't listed as an official dealer on the adaptronics website?

Thanks for pointing that out! I forgot to have them add it to the website... I mean I have a link from www.turbosource.com to my website as well.. IE Turbosource is the NA distributor for Adaptronic about 30 minutes from my house..

As per previous discussion, the builder was supposed to have started on the engine last month, but there were a few ahead of me and after 45 or years of racing and building rotary engines professionally he’s now semi-retired. So I just have to be patient and wait. Which he’s only accepting previous customers on a select basis; considering myself fortunate as it is.

Happy now? https://adaptronicecu.com/pages/dealers#northAmerica Top of the list!

Installed the wideband module today and it works. I finally have AFR values to show.
On the other hand abs and TSC lights are still on.
Settings are correct with what adaptronic said.
I already send them an e-mail but for some reason I get errors saying the mail adresses do not excist.
Am I doing something wrong here because currently I don't know what to do anymore

I have a 2007. Also have the V2 version of the Modular.
Maxim previously said he has a 2007 aswell, not a EUDM, but still, it works with him.
Anyway, contacted Adaptronic and we'll see on Monday what they have to say about it.
Some people also stated that perhaps the car has to be driven first to make it go out, but I have no idea if that would be true. I send the logs to my mapper and when he gives the go for a drive, I'll test it.

I have found that if you have not driven your car the ABS module ill not be happy I also have found that you need to get the immobilizer working as well. I find when you enable the immobilizer as the car is already working is what works the best.

Unfortunately Mazda did a lot of things different across a lot of model years and also across different markets. They don’t always publicly make known what all those differences are, when, and where to be crystal clear outside the Mazda engineering group. What works USDM is different in some regards to other markets. If you study the software revision history that’s very clear.
hoping that taking it for a drive will resolve the situation for you.

Just talked to an adaptronic tech and got the advice to downgrade to 1.052 firmware and use 2.21 Eugene. Put in the settings as they should be and test.
I'll try it tomorrow or as soon as possible. Let's see what it does.

Installed the 1.052 firmware and checked the settings with the 2.21 software. Everything was as it should be, but no difference for the abs and TSC lights. It was not good for the car either, startup was very very difficult and when it eventually fired up, it ran lean. Updated to the latest firmware again and ran good.
I send my findings to adaptronic, I hope they can come up with a better solution this time.

Already talked to Shawn, and we we're going to met him check the settings but I had a chat with an adaptronic tech and I am not the first nor the only one with this issue. They had a Greek customer with the same problem. They did a can sniff and found out that the abs is in a different code than the "normal" EUDM Cars. They now want to check mine aswell too see if there is more different codes than just the one they already found. With whatever outcome, there will be a new firmware to solve this issue.

I suppose this might also possibly be a manual trans option for those people who may want to keep OE functionality for OBD2/emissions. I didn’t confirm it, but logically it makes sense. There might be some wiring differences though, not sure.

still have to wonder if the OE pcm is going to have some OBD2 issues though.

Also the aluminum UIM is forthcoming too, but at that price it just makes an REW swap that much more logical imo.

Edit: Maybe if you were starting from scratch and having the engine built fresh.... my assumption was already having a well-in-order Renesis as I'd assume most people planning to boost it would. Then I could see where you'd be juggling for a few more bucks going the REW route.

Not 100% what you're getting at here.... Including this manifold you could make a pretty ballin' boosted Renesis for $10K. REW swap (assuming you want more than 400 whp) is more like $18-20K... I'm sure you could argue price points on either situation; and no malice intended; but I just don't see how new manifold led you to REW swap ![Lol](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/lol.gif)
