Any ECU Hackers left? (Knock control question)
Well, the title sums it up. I just want to know if there is any pid that can show you directly or otherwise what the knock retard is, and if I'm right about some table assumptions in ATR. Kinda a thought experiment right now. More to come.

Assumptions:
Knock retard base is applied to the regular timing maps. And the ecu uses it as a starting point for all timing modifications.
(Table is -10 until 4500 then goes to 0 at 5000rpm)
Knock retard max is the maximum amount the ecu can pull from timing with any knock control mode. (-10 deg)
Knock retard minimum load is the load at which the ECU can transition from Feedback Knock control to Rough/Fine learning knock control. (50%load)
Minimum ECT is the minimum ECT for transitioning from Feedback knock control to rough/fine. (50deg)
Max RPM eliminates all knock control at 7000RPM
So...
If I set knock retard base to a positive number, will it initially try to add timing and then use knock control to bring it down?
Or if I take the knock retard max to -15 (the lowest value) will it increase how much the ecu can retard in all modes, or is it just one of the modes?
Can I set a lower load value and get the ecu to start altering tables during cruise?(40% vs 50%)
Can I increase the Max RPM and get knock control up to reline (assuming no false knock) or is this point a change in knock control strategies and not a cut off?
About all I have to go on is how other cars with the same ECU hardware control knock, and that isn't entirely helpful.
