Cobb accesstuner pro

I have a copy of the software but I'm pretty sure it needs to be mated or matched to your specific Accessport's serial number. If that's not the case, someone please let me know and I can get it over to you.

Yea I thought that was the case. I made sure to back everything up on my end just in case I decide to sell my Accessport, the next owner will have the software already matched with serial.

Did you contact Cobb yet? It sounds like they can get you the software and it will be matched to the serial number of your specific accessport.

So, I'm fairly certain each of the installation files is keyed directly to the Cobb's serial number. I did a bit of testing and a bit of decompiling a while back on my version of the ATR software when Cobb decided to shelve the RX8 software. A map made by a certain keyed version of ATR will not work on another ATR. Basically you can't use your buddies ATR to make yourself a map on their PC, then use it on your Cobb. So what Chrisoky is suggesting will get you working software, it won't get you working maps. It's also why I went on a bit of crusade with every Cobb in the FS sections to say that if possible, include the software installables, or at least copy the executable folder from the Program Files for the working version with the sale.
I am neither skilled enough with C++ (what the program is coded in), nor have the time, to find a way to bypass this, even with decompiled code. The best bet for now, especially since the hardware is no longer being made new, is to get the installer/program files folder from the person you buy it from, or eat the $150 and get it from "Cobb University". It is infuriating that the software is "free" but they won't give it to you until you pay an affiliate for a course on how to use it.
