Cobb AcessPORT with TURBO Discussion

Dyno tune and Street tune are 2 different things. What he probably got done was a Street tune.
Dyno tune is the "fine tuning" which you want to Street tune to get as close AFRs as possible before hitting the Dyno to decrease Dyno time and pulls.

I cant get ahold of him and i want this car to run right! :/ Also, I searched the forums but I cant seem to find any hints on keeping the damn OBDII plug in there, every big turn I make the AP loses connection. Any hints or is this a downfall to the design.

all you do is push in one of the side tabs and the OBD female plug will come out of the metal bracket, then just ziptie the dongle to the metal bracket. out of sight, out of mind

Did you email ap@mazdamaniac?
I'm pleased to say I have zero problems with the ap. There isn't anything to improve on either. Though I would buy additional software from Cobb if it made the ap into a datalogger.

I can be a bit of a bastard because I hold no allegiance to anything. If I find something I like, I get it. If I find something else that is even a little bit better, I will be tempted to switch.
Case in point, I'm on my 4th aftermarket exhaust, I've had 3 different BOVs, and have used 3 different fuel management systems. If the AP wasn't really this good, I wouldn't say it is.
The only thing you need to bring to the table for 100% functionality is to make sure your MAF / Intake is allowing the MAF sensor to operate properly, and that you're capable of properly describing the mods to your car so that Jeff can build a correct map for you. That's it.

You guys are amazing. Where are you going to call on a Friday, demanding custom tuning before Sunday?
I know what its like to be impatient, but you guys need to take a breath.
In your case, WV, its only been one day!!!!
Don't make me impose a mandatory waiting period on calibrations!

mysql, I hope you don't mind that I am announcing this because you initially set it up.
If anyone lives in the SE Near Florida and would like to get together for a Dyno tune session with MM please add your name to the list on the thread below... as a big bonus Charles Hill will be there as well

If we can get enough people to pitch in MazdaManiac Jeff will fly down for a BBQ, Dyno Tune day

:P I think I'm more impatient than you. I still have to switch a turbo on my system before I get to play with the AP again if I have it by then...
