Nemesis,
I have done this experiment before when my canscan still working. (I am still waiting for the new canscan for tunning)
I have the ignition graph like urs,
I did zero out the A/F map for 7.4k -> 8k rpm and I found out the the ignition adv go back to 30 degree
Maybe you wanna to try to rich up the A/F for 7.4k->8k rpm, Just a suggestion.

Nemesis,
Ok I plan to do it in lazy way. I will goto dyno tune it next monday. I will post the data on Tues/Wed..
Hope I can find out which A/F mixture produce the most hp. and I will pull the ignition adv graph only after I got my canscan back. so stay tune.
I have a high flow cat, and RB intake, stock muffler and stock flywheel.

i'm beginning to think your +.6 a/f ratio assumption doesn't work since the car is still pulling timing out... go richer in that 7-8k range, maybe adjusting the map 10 at a time until the timing returns to 30

Dannobre stopped by and we fine tuned my map with his CANScan that has the corrected AFR formula. Here are three runs all on the same map. We also logged the airflow that shows the corrected flow based on our map. After viewing the results, we tweaked a little more, but I have not made a log because I don't have the proper CANScan chip - waiting for the update to arrive :p

All three of these are on the same map? That's the kind of inconsistency that drives me NUTS! Also, it still looks like you go open-loop early. But, maybe thats a good thing! You can start your maps at a lower RPM!

I just back from dyno tune (4th gear, cz, Rb intake, and random high flow cat, on dynojet w tcs/dsc off).
based stage 2: 184.5 whp, 127 lb
tuned: 194.3 whp at 8250 rpm, 135.7 lb at 6250 rpm
The map go smoothly 13.5-13.6 a/f. I will scan the dyno graph and post it 2 days from now. I will get my cz logged once I get my canscan back. then we can see how accurate it the dyno wideband and the canscan w/b reading.

*Sigh*
not bad nhk. I went to go do a few runs today and found that something was up. (see pics) so I started tuning and ended up with an ok map. It still needs some work, but my point of this post is to let everyone know that the N flash doesn't tune the same I don't know why but I had to use much smaller adjustments. As you can see one of my runs pinged. I would advise anyone who has the N flash to check their maps and beware when tuning. Rest of the pics are one the next post.
