Question Engine Light and oil

so i just got a new motor put in my 2004 Rx8. when i drive at steady or high rpms the engine light blinks and has a code that reads misfire cylinder two, could this be from having crappy gas in it or something more? cause the car runs fine and isn't blowing smoke or anything noticeably bad.

also i see a lot of opinions on what oil to use. and was wonder if i should go with 10W20 or 5W30, and is there a brand i should go with? i would like to use either mobile one, or royal purple, what do you's think? I'm from ct so it gets very cold in winter. and also very hot in summer, cause i heard that the weather effects what oil to use. so any help/opinions would be appreciated.

~~~~~PROBLEM SOLVED~~~~~
misfire usually means coils, plugs, n wires.
not sure if they reuse those when replacing the engine.
check coils plugs and wires ... in the worst case, a misfire can cost you a motor
I used Castrol Gtx .... 10w30 in summer .... 5 w 20 in winter and I change every 2k to 3k miles
**** in the gas tank? How do you mean? Seafoam is primarily used as a de-carbon method
well the car sat for about 4-5 months. and i didnt kno if that would make the gas in it go bad or stail. so i thought that seafoam would help burn it off like it does with the carbon build up.
Had the same problem with mine when I had my new engine installed. Reset the eccentric shaft position sensor.
Not sure exactly but the location isn't important. (I believe it is located right near the main crank) There is a procedure to reset the sensor. I believe you turn the key to the on position and pump the breaks quickly 20 times until the check engine light blinks. Anyways its something like that. Do a little research and you will find the procedure. Its been a while since I've done it myself.
Mobil 1 is a great oil. Though go read the oil threads for general info on synthetics.
From underneath the car, it's right in front of the oil pan next to the e-shaft pulley (the bigger one).
You can also do it from the top if you take off your intake (or if you have the MS/AEM CAI there's enough room to get to it.). It's between the e-shaft pulley and the A/C compressor pulley all the way at the bottom. I find it's easier from underneath the car though.
I had a bad sensor, and it only caused problems when starting. It also threw up an ecc. sensor error code, rather than a mis-fire code. I understand that your problem could be the sensor, but I think its far more likely to be (as already mentioned) bad coils, plugs, or leads.
also another few questions.. does the numbers on the coils matter? cause mine went 1-3-2-4 or something close, and i replaced them with others from my other motor but in no order...would this cause a problem if the numbers arent in order or in a certain pattern? and does the check engine light have to b reset to go off? or when the problem is fixed it will go off itself?..
as for your coils ... make sure you have the correct signal going to the correct spark plug ... otherwise you could be rebuilding pretty soon ... I do not think that the Coils physically differ from each other though ... what is the exact CEL you are getting?
You are confusing me ... what numbers are you talking about?
Blinking CEL means misfire ... ur engine is in danger ... what is the code you are getting?
What matters is that each coil pack is feeding the correct spark plug.
Check that the wires run exactly like this:
