Greddy eManage Advice
Hello everyone,
I had my eyes set for the Greddy eManage Ultimate for some time now, but i was searching the internet to find someone (or people) who actually used this device. I must say, i believe i found the right place
Before i go any further, my car is NOT a Mazda, nor a Rx8. But i have a HUGE respect for them, since my neighbour has one and pushes 320+ at the wheels. Needless to say, the Rx8 is one of the greatest cars out there.
Now, for my part....I know that companies such as Greddy, Apexi, HKS, Blitz and so on manufacture parts and electronics that are designed to work on most Japanese car models. But i know a few non-Jap cars running their products (such as the Apexi AFC 2, boost controller, idle control and so on). I have looked over the eManage wiring diagram, and if i am not mistaken (correct me if i am wrong) the Hotwire/MAP/Barn Door wiring set-up for the intake is exactly the same as the Apexi AFC 2.
If this is true, then i will have no worries using the eManage in this point, since i know many friends running the Apexi AFC 2 and love it. Now, here is my question and i hope that anyone with the hands down experience helps me out.
The eManage automatically adds and removes the amount of fuel, simply by telling the eManage where do i want the AFR at certain RPM and engine loads right?
Secondly, i don't wish to get into the timing, at the moment, since i am an amateur and when i feel confident, i will enter that area, but not for now, so i do not need the C connector harness (based on the manual, it is for the timing).
Thirdly, my car currently has the Barn Door type air meter. So by hooking up the eManage intake meter harness (voltange in, voltage out, TPS, rpms, power and ground) would the eManage still be able to automatically add and remove fuel according to the AFR?
Fourthly, how does the eManage know that the AFR is at say 14.7? i have a wideband (Zetronix), which wire to i hook up to the eManage for the system to see what is the AFR? Also, which wire is it on the eManage?
Finally (sorry, please bear with me), what is the benifits of hooking up the injectors? I have 4 injectors, groups in pair (exmaple, pin #14 controls injectors 1 & 2, pin #15 controls injectors 3 & 4). Do i need to hook up the injectors, in order for the eManage to add or remove fuel? or will the eManage be capable of doing so with just the Intake in/out, TPS, RPM, Power, Idle Control, Knock (car has a factory knock sensor) and Ground connectors in place?
I am REALLY sorry if these question are all silly and very comon, i did a search but coun't find much info (except for the rx8 specific).
Again, i apoligise for the long and boring post, but if i am right with what i stated above (and you're answers to my question is what i believe it to be) then i should have no worries with the eManage from Greddy.
Again, thank you for you're time reading this, and this is a GREAT comunity to be in.

I have the emanage blue but don't know much about how it works. It came with a wiring harness and several dongles. There's a few members with the Ultimate hooked up to their 8's. One member is mazdamaniac, he may be able to help.
I'd also check this site. http://www.emanageforums.com/ and click on forums. You may get your answers there.

I don't know what kind of car you have, but Vishnu's XEDE is a great product. They will also customize/tune it for other cars.
