I need my rx8 tuned by pro's

Here's the deal, I had the Esmeril Racing turbo kit put in my rx8. Well Christian was suppose to tune it this Spring, me And the shop that worked on my car, Have been trying to get ahold of him for about 5weeks now and no response back. So I'm looking for a shop that specialize in tuning rotary engines. I live in Minnesota, Help would be much appreciated. Thanks

You are not alone - I haven't spoken to Christian since September.

Do you already have the AccessPORT?

This is the 2nd Esmeril kit in the poo (today) for the lack of a tuner - not a good advert for Esmeril .

Well, Chris designed the kit around the Int-X. Can't blame it for that - it was en vogue at the time and many people who were craving power didn't seem to care about things like emissions or drivability. Or idle. Or consistency.

Now, with flash tuning, there are people who are learning (sometimes the hard way) how to tune their own car.
Unfortunately, that seldom translates to how to tune someone else's car.

And, as noted elsewhere, most shops are eager to take your dollars without having an ego check first.

So I think I'm going to have Steve Kan tune my car, I will fly him up here to tune it. He's suppose to be the best of the best with rx7's and rx8's. He travels all around the US to tune them. He also has a shop in texas.

I hope so. That's an expensive boost controller haha. He's tuning it via Int-x. Just a street tune then later when I upgrade the turbo, injectors, and fuel pump I'm going to have it dyno tuned.

He said that a dyno tune isn't really necessary because I won't be making to much power with the greddy kit.

Hey Yiddie, I am in the same boat. I REALLY need to get my car tuned by a pro also. I am willing to drive to Texas from Alabama if I need to. I am in a situation now that my car is running ok, but as the weather is changing it is starting to do scary things, such as going to an AFR of 17 or greater under heavy throttle. SO, needless to say, I am taking it easy. I depend on my car.

See this thread: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-engine-tuning-forum-63/turbo-8-int-x-need-help-193404/

Someone please post if you can help me.
