Ignition tuning with turbo

Has anybody played around with ignition timing with their e-manage on a turbo?

I'm assuming you need the ignition harness, correct?

I'm just going with colder plugs for now . . . . good idea or bad?

General consesus on the plugs is that it is a good idea, colder plugs should help to decrease chance of detonation. Although, i am wonering how the 8 will run this winter with colder plugs. Not sure if that makes any difference though.

Wish I could help on the ignition harness, not sure, just getting okay with changing fuel,

Just yesterday i have put new plugs. Before yesterday my cold starts were a mess, i had to wait for my car to warm up completely, otherwise it would stall, and also car has steady idle. Today morning was 10 'C outside, quite cold, i had no problems with starting the car.
Also, i can feel that the ride is better, much better than stock. I am starting to wonder if my old plugs were not working properly.
New plugs are Denso Iridium Racing (IRT01-34 and IRL01-31), both one heat range colder.

that's pretty cold for the middle of summer . . . . .

glad to hear plugs seem to be fixing things - they're a lot easier than buying an ignition harness and tuning that.

Unless you are increasing the boost beyond the std. 7psi or so, you shouldn't have to pull timing. I think that's the general consensus. I also have the Denso plugs waiting for my turbo install. You'll have to clean them more often, but I think they are worth it just for insurance.

Unless I have missed an announcement somewhere, the standad greddy ignition harnass will still melt your coils unless it is modified to correct the voltage output
