On other thing to think about when sending emails.
Emails are not guaranteed to get to thier destination, example would be if your email server is on a black list and Canzoomers server uses that black list. If that is the case your email would never be seen by Canzoomer.
Especially with all of the latest email born viruses (viri). Alot of the latest viruses fake the sender and have caused email servers to be black listed wrongfully.
I see this all the time (I administer 30+ email servers).
Just something to think about - since other people get responses right away.

First off, to those who had trouble s reaching me: Sorry!
Second: Week of April 12th I was out of town all week in Toronto working our booth at a computer/Linux trade show, and the hotel which was **supposed** to have broadband access for my laptop **did not**
The week following I had a lot of work, emails, etc. to catch up on.
Some weeks / days i get really busy with work, especially this time of year.
OK, apart from that, I **average** 50+ messages a day on Canzoomer stuff. And usually about 10-20 phone calls.
I have not logged on here in quite a while,as I know that when i do, and post something, it produces a flood of several **hundred** messages, and i simply did not have time to deal.
I have been really busy on development, we are re-designing the units to work better with L & M flashes, and the Stage2 tuning.
I have been doing a bunch of testing, and am still trying some more new stuff, so my evenings and weekends are a bit hectic.
A few of the guys doing turbos and superchargers have been in touch recently, and we are about to delve deeply into positive pressure tuning too.
All in all, just really busy here.
One CAN also contact other people here.
Graham is not doing much on the Canzoomer stuff lately, but you can email Rachael, or Michelle.

They do the paperwork on the orders and payments and shipping, so are far more informed on those details than I.
If you ask them tech questions you will get the email equivalnet of a blank stare, so go light on that!
As for shipping time on Stage1's, please remember this:
To build 100 of these costs us $40,000 in parts alone.
It takes about 3 hours per unit to build and test.
RX-friend works fairl close to full time on this, plus he has been working on a fairly steady strem of upgrades for those who bought the earlier Stage1 verwsion. And once in a while we get a broken one, damaged in shipping, etc. So keeps pretty busy with that too. The other guys in our shop prep wiring harnesses and so on as a filler job between other things..
Parts come in from 11 suppliers, and we have to schedule these as best we can to get everything in at the same time to build in batches. Once everything is on hand, we can make about 25 a week.
Then it takes about 20 minutes EACH to ship. Packing, Courier waybills, invoice for you, commercial invoices for customs, credit card processing, calling people whose cards won't go through, FCC statements, NAFTA forms, etc. It's a slow and laborious process.
We just got new software from Fedex which saves a bit of time, but it all takes work.
Anyway, for those who i missed, once again I apologize, and more news to come.
Thanks!

yes he is a very busy man. I was just at his place Yesterday and we were doing runs trying to adjust a few things on my car for the stage one. He is always trying to tweak things, and is very busy. I was there 3 hrs on a Sunday, and when I left he was going out to do some runs with his car. I will probably see him this week again, but just call the guy. He is very dedicated to the 8, and seeing all the info he plots first hand, I know he has logged alot of hrs in this, and will continue to !

cz just installed a unit i bought from adrian 1 (i do have the L flash)and also just installed a racing beat cat back. It's now what I think Mazda meant for it to be! Kudo's to you man! Ya did good! The car now feels much more balanced. One question (in your spare time lol) ? Any likelyhood of the ecu/cz unit getting too hot? I live in Georgia USA and the weather can get warm. I installed it according to your instructions and it seems that the foam will block some airflow through the box. Just a thought. Hot weather not due for a month or so --so answer whenever you get the time. If I dont hear from ya I'll just give ya'll a call!

We were nice and shared the 1 with you Yanks..

As for temperature, a few comments.
I wouldn't use the foam. It's there to keep dust out of the ecu box, but I don't think that's as important as getting the heat out. Without the foam, it should cool much better than stock.
Be sure to have your engine cover on. It is supposed to direct engine compartment air out the side vents.
If you notice really rough idle developing (with or without the CZ box), shut the car off! It's likely you are overheating the ignition coils. Pull over and open the hood and let it cool off for a few minutes. This seems to be a problem showing up more often now that it's warming up. The coils have air blowing on them from the radiator. If you are overheating them and continue to drive, they will probably go into thermal runaway and self destruct. Probably warranty, but a hassle.

rx 8 friend,
Thanks for the info. I was thinking about removing the foam and now I know I will. I AM keeping my engine cover on! By rough idle you do mean the kind that doesnt clear right. I mean the forum speaks of a LOT of people having rough idle but it's usually comes and goes> I have the L flash but it looks like I may need to get the M version. Above 6k I do have some small short hesitations only on WOT. I have the stock airbox. Great car but they really messed up this ecu (and the way the dsc/tsc works)! Keep up the good work guys!

You'll notice when it starts to idle rough! It's very disconcerting. Maurice and I had the computer hooked up when his did it. It got me really worried when I saw the computer data go nuts. We saved his (second) set of coils by shutting down. We had been doing accelleration runs and heated the car up pretty good. And he doesn't have the cover on (because it isn't usually hot here).
