Hi,
Once there is a topic with the name 'MazdaManiac', I will post something here:
(My intent is to express my feelings and not to offend anyone)
Some history first: Long, long time ago, in October 09, I purchased an AP from Mazdamaniac. It toke more then a month to get it, despite the 10 business days advertised in the web site. I bought it from Mazdamaniac because I have a EUDM 8 and I live in Portugal (pretty shitty place to have an 8). I also bought it from Mazdamaniac because the guys from COBB told me he makes custom maps for the EUDM 8 and because he offered the so called Calibration Service.
Enough history. I also bought a turbo kit, exhaust, clutch kit, pulley kit, ignition amplifier, bigger injectors, fuel pump, electronics, the all thing! Unfortunately this toke me longer than 6 months to get it done (6 months it's the duration of the free Calibration Service). Several set backs and other stuff... I only finish the mods in the last May.
Because of the 6 months Free Calibration Service expired, and because the Greddy turbo kit had an E-Manage unit, I decided to tune it with the E-Manage. I ask around, I posted around, I was advised to forget the E-Manage and use the AP, especially having one.
In the 28th June, I submitted my 11 Deadly Questions to Mazdamanic Calibration Service. I received the email confirmation on the 2nd July. Keep in mind that my free Calibration Service as expired and that I never used it. The main reason for doing so was that my 8 do not run idle. Too much fuel says the AP. Also, to tune it with the E-Manage I need to get a thing called Greddy RPM Signal Adapter #3 (specially designed for the RX8). I did my math and the maps from MM take 10 business days to get done and to get the Greddy Part it takes 3 weeks.
Have you guys get the MM map for the AP? No? Me neither!!! I send 3 or 4 emails to MM, I also said I would pay extra for the map, I said the 8 do not run idle, I said that I need to take it out of the shop, I said...
To sum up, no response, no map, no ride...
I really hope that Jeff reads this message and please say something to me.
Sorry to use the forum for a personal outflow but you can't imagine my deep sadness in not having my 8 running...
I apologize...

Say you buy a pie from the supermarket with a 1 week expiration date and let it sit in the fridge for a month. You cant just go ask them for a new pie just because you never bothered to eat it.

It sounds like you spent $100 on something you knew you couldn't use.
You can get the calibration service still, it will just cost you more than it did when purchased with the AP. I am not trying to bash you, but this is the exact reason why I requested a postponement of the start of my calibration service. Changing the dynamics of the engine/breathing, etc... during the calibration service period is just wasting the money you spent on the calibration. In my case, I will likely have a new motor and several mods within a few months, so it didn't make sense to purchase the calibration service. I was going to forgo it, until MM offered to delay the start until the end of the year, which would work perfect for me.

You are not getting the point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm complaining about the 10 business days window to expect the new map!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I said that the FREE cali expired. I said that I would pay more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't mind paying extra for a new Calibration Service!!!!!
THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The point is the 10 business days window!!!! False hope given...

Relax, it's just the resident MM Fanbois.
Jeff is slow. Get used to that. But he gets the job done. There was likely a communication issue or something. There always is. Just relax, make sure the email you are using is correct and wait for MM to post up all your email communications telling you how you made your mistake.

Posting discontent with MM's response time isn't going to help you. If I was Jeff I would read your rant in this thread and then tell you to go F#*% yourself. There is a right way and wrong way to handle things. You sir just took the wrong approach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not telling you to go F#$% yourself. I was speaking hypothetically. Too many people come on here and bash Jeff for his response times. I would imagine he is really busy right now being Cobb has dicontinued the Accessport for the 8. I don't know you RodrigoSoares. For all I know you could be a great guy. The point I was trying to make is that if I had done nothing wrong, other than not responding to you in what you perceive to be a timely manner, I would be offended. You are partially to be blamed here. You could have purchased the Cobb last after you had installed all your other mods. In this way you would have not exceede the 6 month service time. Somethings are best handled out of sight from all the other members here. By you bashing Jeff for his response time you are most likely just pissing him off.

As I indicated to you when you submitted your calibration request after your expiration date, I will work with you regardless of how long it had been since you purchased the AP. I try to help everybody out, especially if they don't try to take advantage of me (it is always amusing to get and nonchalant submission from someone a year after they have expired).
That said, it took several iterations just to get you to conform to the instructions.
Fearing that there was a language barrier (which, from your post here, I suspect that there isn't one), I even sent my responses in my best Portuguese (which I'm sure was amusing, but I try).
However, there are two things to note:
1) I have to place current customers above those that I am trying to help out despite their expiration; and
2) You need to read the instructions and try to help yourself out as best you can
Your updated base calibration was posted on July 16th in your download folder.

You need to check there first if there is ever any confusion about what is going on.
Please read the "Instructions Instructions" thread.
You switched e-mail addresses mid-stream.
You didn't submit your "11 Deadly Questions" initially and, when you did answer the questions, you had some vague answers like "OE MAF", which is not really likely with the GReddy kit.
Thanks.

Man, I'm so sorry...
I thought you would send me the map to my email address. Or a link or something. I've being checking both emails like crazy, several times a day.
And regarding the MAF, yes it's the OE. No other MAF came with the turbo kit. Should I get another one? More powerful?
Sorry... (f#$% myself!!!)
