Need to get the right paypal address for him, if he has one. Otherwise I guess we could paypal me and I can get a cashier's check from my bank and usps certified mail that to his physical address.

if so, I say we start sending it to him, it'll catch him off guard.
I would want to check with him first if we're going to use his, don't want to send all this money to an account that's negative 10G's and him not see any of it.

Jeff has an unusual business model. As his sales grow at merely a linear rate, the workload has the potential to increase exponentially as he continues to service previous paying customers while not receiving a continuous stream of revenue from them.

I would like to see Jeff's thoughts on what would be most helpful to him. ie data organization via web forms, sheer manpower, etc. Perhaps in that way we could have a tangible goal to reach in our efforts to help and repay him for all the work he has done at his own personal loss.

Either way I'm in..... I'll check tomorrow and see if i can determine whether his old paypal account is still active

Paypal...

I just ordered a Cobb AccessPort with his service from his website on Friday and he is using Google there and not PayPal. I've looked over my order receipt from Google and there doesn't appear to be any information there.

I'll sniff around and see what Google provides...

It appears that Google transactions run two percent plus 2 cents.

Out of habit I always re-read what I post, immediately after I post it. I also re-read the whole block of text I wrote when people quote me, just to see what I said. So it was odd when it didn't match what I thought I said

From poking around it appears that if you have a PayPal account, you can send money to someone else -- like a wire transfer -- via either their email address or their mailing address. The person receiving the money doesn't have to have a PayPal account.

So whatever issue Jeff might have with PayPal shouldn't be a problem.

Another easy way of doing it is if your bank account has a bill pay service. Just plug the information in with the mail address and fire it off. The bank then cuts and mails the check.

Y'all must really love that product and his support.

But I'd venture to say he won't accept it on principle.

But I am sure he would gladly accept orders for other products in his catalog and future business.

I have never met Jeff either, but anyone who puts up with hundreds of 8club emailers in hundreds of different formats deserves something. When I was trying to get my 8 dialed in and was emailing Jeff everyday, I felt like I was getting over.

This is a great idea and I will definetly donate $20 bucks.

Also, I know that you already posted that this is a donation thread only, however if Jeff does read this, I would be willing to make him a Microsoft Access Database to track all of his customers and calibrations. I do this all day long for the Army (tracking people) and would gladly do it to help lighten his load.

If Jeff would like help in this area I stand ready to create/assist or whatever. Hopefully he will read this thread and PM me or email me. I do not want to flood his emails or PM him if he doesn't want help.

I think Eviltwinkie offered to do some web based way to request calibrations. PM him and see if he ever got the "GO" from Jeff on that.
