Everyone also needs to keep in mind that just as with a "real" dyno, everyone will have different results, even with identical mods/lack thereof.

More specifically, don't we usually do "real" dyno runs in 4th gear?

I updated my accessport firmware and it added the dynamometer submenu in the performance tab, but I cannot use it. When I select it, it gives me an error message that my vehicle is not supported and I should contact cobb.
How can I resolve this?
My rx8 is a EuroDM 2006 mt 4 port model. Is it going to be supported in future updates?

It's possible there's something required in the PCM that COBB has not gotten Euro support for yet. It's possible the next update will give you that support.

Let's hope so! I wanted to do some dyno runs today!

Judging by the numbers people have gotten, it seems highly "optimistic".

True... but it would be nice to have a rough % to go by (if possible).
Like once you log your dyno through the AP, take 10% off (for example) and that is roughly what you MAY get on a real dyno.
But people do need to keep in mind that this is just a fun addition to the AP and shouldn't be taken seriously.

Sorry guys. I was moving and all that was involved with that the last couple of days.

Had to update the firm ware. Then I was resetting the parameters and finally tried it and I'm not sure I did it right. I was talking to MM about it and to be honest he has not looked at it yet.
Maybe I can try it again tomorrow. Trying to find a place where I don't have to worry about the local PD is kind of hard. I'm going to try 2nd gear. And that takes me to 90 mph. 2000 - 9000 rpm

1st gear 51mph
2nd gear 92 mph
3rd gear 125 mph
And then I have no 4th gear due to the MPH cutoff at 125.

You forget, Todd, due to Erick's old age he has no fear of death. That is why he's so fast on the track

I just noticed that my beta firmware is 1.3.1.0 and not 1.3.2.0. Maybe that's why the dyno feature doesn't work!
Is 1.3.2.0 not ready for the european models of accessport?
No matter how many times I tried to update, I stay with version 1.3.1.0-8571!
The beta firmware option is enabled on accessport updater and the beta accessport updater also!
In v1.3.1.0 on cobb site it says that "Users will be asked to re-flash the map to the ECU to activate this. Users with custom maps will need to ask their tuners to resave the maps with AccesTUNER Pro v1.7.0.12"
How can I tell if my tuners maps have been saved with v1.7.0.12 of AccessTuner Pro? Is there a problem if they are saved from a previous version?

lol... you would probably end up staying at 125mph since 4th goes up to 185!

So that's basically 4th gear for the manual version. Damn, that's just crazy, no wonder their so slow... No offense.

Current beta firmware is 1.3.2.1-9101, so you are doing something wrong.
You will need to have your maps updated to use the new firmware, though.

Just curious r0tor... did you use the default settings (3028lbs (I think), 3rd gear, 2K-7K RPM)

Very confused - the fastest I've seen in 2nd gear is 65 mph at redline. And I thought that top speed was limited to 148
