O i know its not a patch for flash tuning. Imma tuner myself. But im just asking to see if there is any interest out there. I know some people prefer piggybacks over flaash depending on their goals.

If you dont mind me asking...what was done to your car while u used the PM?

If you believe that we prefer piggybacks over flash tuning, you are mistaken and should spend more time on this site. The only people that would possibly need a piggyback would be a blow-through turbo setup.

Initially i had it dyno tuned NA , then later fitted a turbo . I only ran the PM with turbo for a few months at around 7-8psi . It did the job OK .

Man grammar police, lol, is it that serious?

Moving on, yea i looked at the site and saw what people were using. Thats why i just threw the question out there. Seems u guys have the Cobb which i knew about and maybe one or two others.

While i know flashing gives more parameters to adjust, the vast majority that prefer flash tuning doesnt always include the few that dont, depending on goal(cars or trucks in general) some people prefere live tuning over flash

The name leaves me right now, but has anyone looked at the tuner they use for the genesis....its real time flash@rather than flash, log, flash, log.

Pretty nifty unit

sure - dynoed at 333whp and 280 lb/ft at about 11-12psi . Runs like a champ . It is a fragile motor for boost but runs great when sorted .

You can LOL at the grammar police, but this message is for everybody, particularly the up and coming kiddies, not just you; if you can't communicate effectively you are f'd for life. It's really that simple, flyboy

good numbers man. i bet that thing feels like a rocketship compared to stock when got it. haha.

as for the motor being fragile, thats what he was concerned with. apparently the renesis motor had a high failure rate. but i told him it is what it is. modding creates problems anyway, so just deal with them. but i will still try to persuade him to do it. but of course its his choice.

unfortunately, i'm not an upcoming kiddie. so please take that to someone else whom is young and doesn't know how to communicate. i lol'd because i almost thought i was on a honda forum, since what you posted did nothing to help the original purpose of this thread flyboy.

yea, i know who mazdatrix are. here is what i have seen. the PowerMod unit wasn't really pushed to hard over here, because of a couple reasons. lots of people in the states are name brand buyers. not everyone, but most are. so lots of enthusiasts will look at it as something that cant really work since its not AEM, Apexi, HKS, Haltech and etc. which is definitely understandable.

i was skeptical at first myself with using it on my own car. i have used numerous tuning solutions in my years, from flash to piggybacks. and have found the PM does its job verywell when you want to leave the Factory ECM in place. its still one of the few Piggybacks that advance timing so i found that as a plus because i used it while i was all motor (unfortunately, there isn't any flash tuning for the non-speed 6)

but i also understand you guys have the AP now, so the usage of a piggyback pretty much isn't needed anymore by most. was just probing interest on it, as im pushing it now. it has more features than the FIC, just not the AEM name. lots of people use the fic, so the need for piggy's is still out there.

i use it on my personal car, as im a firm believer of not promoting stuff that i wouldnt use on my stuff.

Brettus, it was a few years since you used it i believe. there have been some updates to the unit since then and am working on some other stuff with it.

wish Cobb was an option for us, but they dropped our project after realizing it was as easy as all the other stuff they did.
