Stage 1 rotor upgrade

I met a local guy who has an rx7 who just upgraded his engine from level 1 rotors to level 2. He has the engine housing and 2 of the stage 1 rotors for sale for 250$ and hed install and they are used. To get more specific about the rotors is the stock rotor has a deep encave on the sides and the stage one have shallower and more holes on the interior for better cooling. On the stock rotor they hav another circular bearing in the middle that the stage one doesnt. Therefore it spins quicker so what do i do? is this a deal or dud. Dynos perferably or just any valuable info would be great

Thanks,
Collier

Wait, you have an RX-8 and someone with an RX-7 has rotors and a rotor housing they will "install"? I don't even know where to begin on this one. They are not compatible; at all. If you want to swap an RX-7 13B motor into the RX-8 its a ton of work and you would need the transmission and a lot of money and patience. Please read some of the stickies, or maybe a wikipedia article about the motor before considering engine modifications, it will save you a lot of pain.

40 to 50 bucks for the turbonator.

You can get them at PEP boys!

I've never heard of "stages" for rotors... You can get various levels of engine rebuilds but the biggest thing you can do for the 8 as far as rotors go would be lightweight rotors I believe.

That wouldn't include labor costs.
