stock ecu roms where?
ok just say i have ids software and have an older flash in my ecu and want to upgrade to something newer or slightly better where to get it?
i actually built a half bridge and i am just trying to get it to idle reliably. man i pulled that upper intake and injectors a million times they are wired and tested 100% right. bet my life on it. coils new, plugs new, wires good. going for lazy upstream o2 now. yes i may have to get a cobb but lets start with the basics.

half-bridge Renesis?
pull it out and start over, unless you’re dead set on making less power than a properly built non-ported Renesis
you can get the latest factory download from the paid Mazda subscription service, but that’s not going to help you.
It will need to be custom tuned using aftermarket software. There is no PnP tune for what you’re doing.
perhaps it’s better to look over the edge of the cliff first before jumping off ...

pfsst! built many half bridge 13b's the rotor movement is the same ren or non ren. the problem is im running rich and idle idle bouncing from 750 to 1000 it cant seem to nail it. fuel trims go from -11 to 0 at idle at 0 it runs smooth so that doesnt make sense so were looking a lazy o2 it swings from .8 to .1 like it should. so i need to spend $750 to buy a cobb and raise my idle to 950 right. i just wanted to put the latest factory flash in, that all. thanks for the flaming.

Of course it's struggling to idle . Get Mazdaedit and raise idle to 1000ish.
Also , Team is right ...you will make less power than stock right across the rev range with a 1/2 bridge.

Except it’s a Renesis and not a 13B of past lore, but go ahead and learn the hard way like all the other people who don’t comprehend the difference between them. You won’t be all alone in the hall of it’s-just-another-13B fail.

It's not going to run on a factory flash, I put 96k miles on a half bridge, and that doesn't change the fact that it's a waste of time. I talk everyone that asks me about them out of it. It's nothing like the old 13b engines. You can consider it flaming if you want, but it's pretty foolish to think that all the "old tricks" haven't been tried by now over the last 16 years. There's no hidden power to be found. Mazda squeezed out as much as they reasonably could.

yes i realize that the factory flash wont solve my idle issue but when i make changes i cant just "reset" my nvram easily (aka wire the injectors correctly or fix the loose intake bolt). its good to hear you ran 96k on a half bridge and yes it may be a waste of time, but its done and it probably wont reduce life. so anyway the theory was on a half bridge is that the ssv is closed at idle and the secondary ports are also closed, so idle should not be dramatically affected, but we get no idle lope of a bridgeport and it wont idle in general blah! i guess the missfires cause it to run pig rich (exhaust smoke). i just want a newer flash i can brake stomp and reset everything i'm not looking for some secret jdm flash or somebody's mal tuned flash just want a good base to work from.

The issue is that the OE intake manifold and ports are critically designed specifically for the zero overlap side-exhaust port configuration. It’s a lot easier to mess that up than improve upon it. The fact that a Renesis 2-rotor can squeeze out 270 bhp at the flywheel with no overlap speaks volumes about what Mazda accomplished.
