yeah, good luck w film, that sounds like a terrible process.
i'll post pictures later (it's raining here now) - i used the tamaya "smoke" option b/c it was quick and easy (couldn't find vht w/o ordering it online). i'm very happy with it, not nearly as glossy and professional looking as the other guys, but from a distance it looks great - still shows the innards of the lights but dark enough that it flows with the bb better.

my tint (tamaya)
tamaya "smoke", no clear coat (yet?), no polish (soon). 3 coats.
pic 1 tint, far away, angle -- perfect, exactly what i wanted, can still see the inside (kind of) but flows much better with body panels.
pic 2 tint, far away, straight back
pic 3 tint, up close -- you can see it's not glossy like the other guys'
pic 4 no tint (stock)
ps - the car is very dirty! i know...

Looks way better than having all 3 emblems cluttering up the rear. I hate having all those emblems, i wish Mazda would have used the sticker emblems everywhere so we could simply take them off for the clean look. Those holes are a bitch.

exactly. i didn't mind hearing that sticky tape up, or trying carefully, slowly pry them off, but do they really need the damn plugs/holes?! i was pissed when i saw that, been over 2 years and still haven't gotten them fixed

DAMN MAN!!! I did that with my trunk back in september and here I was thinking I was the only one out there with it! I took the dash out and moved the 8 in closer to the RX though. Oh well I guess great minds think alike haha
