124 Led Tails Pixpix!!
Well there has been much talk around this forum of dinky little "9 led bulbs" and such.....I personally think that those bulbs are stupid...but any way..My friend and I teamed up and made 124 LED brake lights!!!! yup you read correctly........124...56 each tail and 12 in the third brake light....I will be taking some night pix to show everyone how they look at night....the finished product is crazy in person!! Well here are the pix:

actually my friend and I were thinking about that.......We could definalty do it........the only thing is that we would need your taillights....(As they are just not plug and play) and you would have to send them to us.....it would cost about $150-200.....not sure of the price yet....but besides that Ill let everyone know......
p.s.,.......once this is done you CANNOT replace it back to stock......but then again LED's last for 11 years....soooo its up to you...

A couple of notes and ideas...
It is hard to photo light, this I know from experience. Especially red light. Believe me, it takes a lot of processing to get red to look red, it is one of the most difficult colors to capture when it come to light. I did see more of what it really looks like in the 2nd post, first picture. Even in that the red light turns orangish yellow. However, I am sure it is as red as red can be.
Second. Think about pattern. If it were I, I would have installed the LEDs on the circuit board in a circular patern, such as rings. This would better go with the round design of the tail/brake light lens. That is merely my opinion, of course.
Thirdly, this is not suggesting that you are wrong, but, the new 7443 15 LED array lamp that can be purchased at autoilumination is over twice as bright as the former 9 LED 7443. The trick is the fact that the tail/brake light has a back lens and this reflects this side focused light of this array. I must go take a pic of it so that I can post it on the original thread, I will not post it here for this is not a criticism of what you have done, in fact, I like what you have done.
I agree with others about the third brake light, even if it is smoked, it still is just a few lines of LEDs. Now if it went all the way across or was in the design of the RX-8 logo...then you would be in competition with me. :D Then again, I think it would look rather cool.

D- That looks AMAZING........see unfortunatly the lights are premade that way I got them, so changing the design is out of the question......unless i wanted to fool around with the circuit board and such..but i got a couple of screws loose in my head so i really cant fool around with that hahhaa....also with your comment about the third brake light, my friend and I were discussing about getting 12 more Leds and just putting them straight across light you said,,,,,bringing the third brake light up to 24 LEDS......probably get done next weekend...
rot8ryx- Yes I did smoke my taillights...
KEL- Read your PM's

Theonly pic I like is theone that DMENACE just put together --that one looks like an evil eyeis watching you. ButI thinkthat if you did something like thatyoud also have to get the 3rd lower rotary brake light on the bottom of thecar to make the wholething look like an angry face. I wouldntdo anything to my lights thoughI like them exactly how they are
