abf body kit
Just wanted to posts some new pics of the body kit. This is AIT's abf kit. It's a replica of ab flug which I'm sure is a great kit but I didn't get it due to the fact that it was running for about $2700+tax+shipping+a no return policy if I was unsatisfied with the kit. I plan to take some better pictures later as these were with my cell. 1st time posting pictures so don't roast me too bad.

I don't expect to get much love. The forum seems to be against the ab flug look but it's all good. I like to be different and it looks better than stock without the appearance package. Lowering is probably not going to happen because I'm terrified about scraping. Also it all about taste but the kit looks so much better in person than in the pictures. I can't explain it or maybe I just suck at taking pictures. I thought the rx8 was ugly until I saw it in person. The VIS kit doesn't come with the under tray I already checked and be prepared to shell out some serious money on getting a replica to fit kinda right.

Yeah it does kind of look like a catfish!! That's hilarious. I've always liked this style even though it's too overboard for most. I'm not asking for everyone's approval; I'm just sharing what I have done so far with this project. I am considering some new wheels btw. I would appreciate advice for lowering the car. It seems like I can barely drive it now without scraping. I probably just can't drive. Anyway here are some better pics. As you can see the kit obviously isn't perfect, being a replica, but "it'll" do. Zumn you' my hero!!![IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

i've always been a fan of abflug for thier designs on the supra and 300zx but i expected better of them for the rx8, with that said, i think a slight drop wouldnt hurt and some bigger more aggressive rims would flush out the package, since you've chosen possibly the most aggresively designed kit on the market today i'd probably invest in a vented hood and cf trunk also, in your case it really would be go big or go home

Cool. I appreciate that. I'm looking at some 18x8 for the front and some 18x9 in the rear right now. Both have a 38mm offset. I'm not sure what tires I can fit without any issues. I'm thinking a 245/40/18 in the front and a 265/40/18 in the rear. I don't want to worry about rubbing. I just checked out s-tein springs and that looks like a go. Will I be able to make it over speed bumps? I'm too nervous to try now. The seibon hood looks awesome; I saw someone photoshop one with it painted and left the vents carbon fiber so I'm considering that.
