Added OEM Spoiler

When shopping for an 8 I always favoured the spoiler and appearance package. The deal that came up on the one I bought was one I couldn't pass up, but it came without any of the appearance options. After a few months, I decided I needed to add the OEM spoiler.

I bought it off a member here and it came painted brilliant black. The spoiler was in good condition but the clear coat didn't look great - visible orange peel.

I decided to have my first go at any type of body work my wet sanding this down and reclearing it. I started with 2500 grit because I was scared of sanding too much. I quickly realized that it was not going to be enough, after a little while I still wasn't taking enough off.

I switched to 1000 grit and it started to look a little better. At this point I was worried my spoiler was going to turn out gray

This was the point of no return...punching/drilling these holes was painful. The provided templates were easy to use - just cut them out and they match the trunk line. They tell you where to drill and the sizes, can't really go wrong.

After drilling the holes, I filed them down a little bit, touched them up, and coated the base of the spoiler with some silicone before mounting it to the trunk lid.

A few before/afters....now I just need this weather the clear up and I can put the summer tires back on

They're not awesome Winter has decided to run into April this year, we got about 6 inches of snow out of nowhere last week. Hopefully this is finally behind us now, will most likely put the summers on this week

Looks real good. That's probably the only exterior add-on I want.

P.S. Winter is still here in Alberta this week. Our forecast says it's going to snow possibly up to Wed May 7th.
