Aftermarket HID INSTALLED PICS! INFO
Hey guys, well after much research on here, I went ahead and bought a set of K-Light HID's from a fellow member on the BMW forums. (most of the guys on there were already using this brand with much success) so i bought a Kit as well (in H7 ofcourse). I paid $230.00 CDN thats about 200 USD.
Now onto the good stuff:
Installation was pretty much straight forward as any other HID Kit. However it was a Pain in the *** getting to the bulbs, I took off both my front wheels and removed the inner fender lining to get to them. It took about 2 hrs total (1 hr per side) I wanted to do a good job on it, all connections were electrical taped, heat shrinked and ziptied into place. The ballasts were mounted underneath the base of the bulbs (for those who installed aftermarket bulbs would know what im talking about, its a nice dry pocket behind the head light assembly. They were secured using Industrial strength Velcro (just incase of un-installation)
I was somewhat worried that this regular H7 Kit wont fit because of the "adapter" you apparently need from the M-TEC Kit. But It wasnt needed, the H7's plugged right in and the metal clips fastened them securely in place. (PS THOSE METAL CLIPS ARE A B!TCH TO PUT BACK)
I say for those who are alot more handy than I am, it would take maybe 1 HR to do both sides.
I have compared this to My Fathers BMW that came stock with HID's and my brothers Lexus that also came stock with HID's and the cut-off and beam pattern looks pretty much the same. For those looking to do the Conversion, GO FOR IT! its definately worth it. I will get more night pics (i took these pics during the day!)
I also included some pics of my SIMOTA / UMNITZA Intake as well!
Cheers!
Kris

Loving the car.
I'm sorry to say the lights look slightly the same, but that's just me.
That's a nice lookin' intake, what's the gain btw?
I wanted the 8 in white, but yeah...that's why I love how yours looks so much
Very, very nice.

I will tonight (its still light outside)
Its a 6000 K kit. They do also do High Beams and even fogs.. Hey by chance any of you guys know what the bulb code is for the little lights next to the low beams? the Daytime Running Lights. I want to change them out to something more whiter as well.
As for the Intake, I would say its minimal at best, the car does pick up a bit quicker and it definately sounds alot better. But other than that its more for looks/sound. Oh I did notice my gas mileage jumped about 10 KM / Tank so its not bad.

After so much inquiries about aftermarket HID's i figured a thread like this would be helpful.
As for the metal clip holding the H7 bulbs in place, not a biggy, the first one was a bit tough, as i never really played with a bulb that required a clip to hold it in place. After the first one was done, the second one took about 15 mins to install...
I obviously got real tired of the yellow parking lights so an order of V-LED's were placed for the side markers and parking lights, below are the new pics. Sorry I took them with my Phone so its not the best of quality. However I will take alot better ones once its not -25 Degrees.

These are the ones that are in the Parking lights and Side markers, they are 194's.
