Any body know how to do this

Hey i want to do this on my 8 but didnt know how they did it (either one of them)
And does the hole have the black insert in it like on the front or is it just a hole.

i think the second pix is photoshoped. and first pix is black paint.
any local bodyshop can do it.now a insert to cool the rear brakes would look and work nice.but I have never seen anything for sale like that.

the first pic just looks like they painted the clear stone guard black. the second pic is a member on this forum named altspace, try sending him a pm to see what he did.

I m pretty sure altspace shopped that in.

I am 120% he said the drop of chopped I m pretty sure he chopped that in too...
and it looks good!..lol

dremel or a saw sal??? lol you could buy a universal vent and get a really good body shop to mold it in or you get then to mock it up in sheet metal and weld it on

Yup, I chopped it. Here's a bigger version. I think I've had a total of 35 PMs from people asking me about what I did for suspension and the rear vent. I removed the door handle as well.

if you put the vent in the rear side of the flare instead it'd probably help a little with drag? tho personally i wouldnt **** with stuff like that since im sure its been taken into consideration when it was designed...

I made a template to match the stone guard we have in that location.....probably the same way the owner of the SS 8 did. I traced it onto black vinyl decal then cut it out. I put one of them on but did not care for the way it looked in person so I took it off. Maybe I'll try it again another day.
