Anybody buy a spoiler from Trim King on e-bay?
I spoke to the guy over the phone and he says he sells the RX-8 spoiler to dealerships. Price is right about US$150/Can$200. Comes painted to match (aparently) with t coats of clear.
Any body buy from him? Is the spoiler any good? Is the paint job any good?
Here's the link:

ONOFIVEO, I thought long and hard about it and i still get second thoughts about putting one on because it looks so go stock. But lately, having more visions with it on than off.
Let me know when/if you pull the trigger and I'll do the same.

CGRX, I am thinking of installing this spoiler myself. When you open your trunk, can you see 4 bolts or is is hidden under the trunk lid insulation? Also do you know if they used a brace ( for the screws go through on the inside of the trunk) as well ? If its not too much trouble and you have a digital camera handly, can you post a pic of the inside of the trunk lid?
I just want to ensure that this guy gives me the proper instructions and fastening hardware.
Thanks in advance.

Sure, I'll hook it up tonight. Nothing is removed inside the trunk to install. It comes with some foam, but don't use it. The four bolts are only used. I had Mazda install because the use templates and it is an exact replica of OEM.

Received the spoiler in 3 days after ordering. Finish is spectacular. Colour is off a minor bit, but I kind of anticipated it would be. Followed the instructions and installed it myself in about 1 hour, taking my sweet time and measuring 10 times before drilling holes in the trunk. Here are some pics from tonight. I added washers which they didn't provide.
CGRX, pics from inside your trunk were extremely helpful to know where exactly the bolts fit. Many thanks again.

this is where I got mine - its a dead on color match, and came with instructions and hardware. AND it's cheaper:

Mugatu, I called Mazda's paint shop before I installed. He basically told me that the velocity red is the hardest paint to match because of tri-colour painting process or something or other. He stated that they often have mismatches. He claimed that white, black and silver were the easiest to match. In any event, the colour is indeed off but only slightly. Very much in the acceptable range though.
As for cost, please note that the price I paid was Canadian dollars because I libe in Canada. Do the exchange and its a bit cheaper where you got it but if we factor in duty which I must pay, its pretty close.
In canada, the same spoiler from a dealer costs Can$550 + 15% tax = Can$632.
Compared to $ 240 that I paid, not bad at all.
What colour is your 8?
