One thing about Hybrid Aero that INGS offers... those pics of the MS Urethane kit that Aeroworks has... there are pics of guys doing that to the INGS kit in Hyper Rev... FRP version and Hybrid Aero version. They can barely flex the FRP version, but the Hybrid Aero vesion they can wring it like towel... like urethane (of course it does get a small stress crack into though).

Thanks for the pics guys, esp the grey - 3 weeks and counting till my front bumper gets delivered ... then a week or two to spray and fit.
Also looking into mounting the fog lights as the stock bumper has them mounted directly onto the bumper...
My Veilside D1 GT side skirts are finally back from the bodyshop, so should be fitted next week... can't wait for the final product...

Amuse, or anyone else out there that knows this kit - any idea if the standard fog lamp mountings will work with this kit?
I have a guy setup to make me some heavy duty grills for the front when it arrives and I can get him the dimensions, but just wondering how I keep my fog lights, without getting a custom mounting bracket made?

you just answered your own question....
You need custom brackets to be made.

i dont know if this was answered about the INGS kit but i was wondering if there was any drilling involved. i was thinking of getting the MS kit and the dealership was telling me that for the side skirts, they were going to drill into the side of the car and cut the bottom half of the rear for the rear bodykit. how is the INGS kit put on the car??

I think you're going to find them all to be pretty similar. Based on comments from Vivid Racing, even the appearance package will put holes in your car. They encountered the problem (of leftover holes from the appearance package "flares") when they went to install the Auto Exe side skirts.

Are you guys serious about the INGS+ kit? I think it's pretty awful. Given it a couple of months and imitations will pop up everywhere. INGS+ RX-8 front end on an Integra? You'll see it. The only thing I want from INGS+ is that rear wing. Now that is cool.

The sides are pretty plain, hence why I've gone for the Veilside GT ones.
The front just looks mean, one step more than the Mazdaspeed. Each to their own I guess!
Think the more likely thing to happen is kits come out for other cars that look like the stock bumper. Oh, actually, they have already - look on ebay under rx8 and you will see a Honda RX8 style kit ! lol

At any rate, I like the INGS kit because it "just looks mean, one step more than the Mazdaspeed." I think it's got a bit more personality and not everyone will get it to boot. But, like you said, "each to their own."

Hey what's up everyone, I just registered today and I posted an introduction in the lounge if anyone wants to read it. Anyhow, I'm glad you're gettin the ings kit Orbist, cause that's my favorite kit. I was thinkin about getting it, but some views I've seen of the kit gave me second thoughts. So it'll be nice to get some more pictures of it! But congrats man, the kit's gonna look great and it's definately attention-grabbing!

Thanks Moe. Here's some pics of it just after unpacking it today ... no need for custom grills as it comes with some, just need to see what to do about the the fog lights.
The hybrid FRP seems excellent, you can bend and flex it without too much force and it is fairly plyable - only the inside surface gives away the fact its FRP. Also the finish is very good indeed.
Will probably have a test fitting session this weekend...

I didn't think it came with a grill and had set about getting someone primed to make a custom one, may still get one done later, but will try that one for now. Its pretty thin, but only held on with small clips on the inside, so it can be easily removed.
As for colour, presume its the only one they do, could be primed and sprayed though.
Saturday looks like test fitting so will grab some photos then.

Spent the morning taking the front bumper off the car. Quite easy to do actually,
see DIY thread : https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/front-bumper-removal-35959/#post477833
Anyway, we then fitted the INGs bumper which is excellent quality and fit. It actually re-uses the same mounting brackets from the stock bumper - was a good sign! Only the fiddly bits round the indicator units needs some sanding and tweaking to get them on. Other than that the underside, and bonnet/lights panel gaps are as good a fit as the stock bumper.
Remove the fog lights from the stock bumper, but the mouting brackets are very customised for the stock bumper that for now I'm going to lose the fog lights until I can work on a mounting system for them. Also losing the headlamp washers, but no real loss there! Removed fuses 17 (fog lamps) and 19 (h/washers) from the engine bay fuse box and covered up / fixed the fog lamp connectors to the subframe.
Here are the pics of the bumper once all tweaks done.
Just need to be painted now and have to do it all again!
(PS took us 10 mins to re-fit the stock bumper)
