Well I'm thinking that's how they want to make their money by advertising a low price and shafting you with the shipping. Luckily I'm about 2 hrs away from them and they allow pick ups. I think I'm gonna go for it.

 

I called Putnam Mazda and their parts guy had NO idea what I was talking about. He kept referencing the aero flares and I would say "No! The Mazdaspeed kit!" What a goof. Their parts manager over there used to be so cool never had any hassle from Putnam even though I had so many mods on the car. They loved it over there.

So I called Capitol Mazda and within literally minutes he had looked up the sides and rear in Irvine and Georgia and is going to have them shipped to San Jose and put on hold until I get back from Germany in June. That's great service, I have to say I'm impressed. Got 20% off as well.

I can't wait for the insane transformation this car will undergo in June with the new kit and turbo!

 

So how much does the dealer charge for just the rear mazdaspeed difusser?

 

The rear bumper was 1460.76 before tax.

who cares? at that price it's still ridicuously a hell of a steal. looks legit too. that part number is for stormy blue mica, fyi. if youre not even paying shipping, you should buy em all and flip em, make a killing

 

I actually picked up one of those rears, it's 100% authentic. Even comes in the oem box from Mazda. If you check ups with the dimensions of the box the shipping is a little over priced but only about $30 for me. Also, he took my best offer of $325 so I got it for $500 total. It's a shame he doesn't have anymore but someone bought the last 4 at one time to resell at a profit.

 

it's all available from Mazda still, but no longer is offered in factory paint colors. It comes in primer only now and has to be painted to match.

Anything being sold in factory color is either new old stock or somebody painted it them self. For the less popular colors there is probably some new old stock still floating around.

Thanks for confirming it's real. I was able to buy one of them from the guy. When I go to their warehouse to pick it up I will see if he can get in other mazdaspeed parts at prices like this. I know he's sold wings a while back but they're out at the moment.

 

Is mazda still making the kit because of sponsored race teams?

Who has sides right now? I've been trying to find a new set for 2 months since my old ones have some damage.

 

Have been desperately trying to locate an authentic front bumper for sale somewhere.. if anyone happens to find one and doesn't want it for themselves please let me know about it!

lol yeah its a lot of money to put down picked mine up thursday last week and it has this lil part chipped off by the corner marker but shouldn't be an issue. (told by some members on here) good luck buddy on your search

 

Thanks man! I've got $900 and I'm hoping to pick one up around that price (possibly lower than that so I can repaint it to match my 8).. I don't need a new one because it seems that new ones are almost doubled in price in the end :/

It's starting to get really frustrating for me because I've got MS sideskirts and oem rear aero flares already painted velocity red and ready to be installed... I just don't want to put them on until I can find a front bumper to finish off the look

 

Yeah they are very expensive and pricier now a days since you cant find them painted only primer and then finding a good place to paint it, and man im trying to save up for the sides but they are becoming harder to find also so its really sucking trying to jump on the kit at this time. I would be frustrated too since the bumper is the huge piece to finish off the kit and personally the ms bumper is my fav i keep looking at mine i cant wait to paint n get it put on just finished installing my powertrix coil overs so excited to take it for a drive to feel the difference i wish ya the best of luck finding one if your patient i bet you'll find one for sure!
