Auto EXE kit...
Had a mishap with the car about a week ago so rather than go back to stock my wife and I ordered the Auto EXE kit from Huff yesterday. Should be done in a week and a half or so. Can't wait. I'll post pics of the progress for everyone. As far as we know we'll be the only 2 cars in the US with this kit.
We've been wanting to do this for a long time but we were just holding out. But given the circumstances we just couldn't pass it up.

so i assume you dont mind rolling around your 8 without a rebar?
You do know that:
1) obviously you want that there in a head-on collision
2) your insurance company have the rights to deny your claims if they find out you were without a rebar in the time on an accident

well i just stated that they "have the rights" to do it...

I second that... having no rebar, and the CHANCE that the insurance company CAN negate your claim for a 30k car... that blows.
I wouldn't mind on a Civic since a Civic is a cheaper car, and I wouldn't care what happens to the car, damages wouldn't be crazy.

The crash beam thing did cross my mind, but not for that reason.
I have seen where shops have had to remove the crash beam on several vehicles for the body kit to fit, the customer never had a problem with insurance.
The vehicle is insured in it's current state, for instance if you had a damaged part on your vehicle that was previous damage they would not cover that part. When it comes to body kits and mods etc. if you opt for additional coverage your insurance company will cover your mods, of course you'll need receipts etc.
If someone else hits your vehicle their insurance covers your mods.
Oh well, it won't have a crash beam but it will look tight as hell.

Ahhhh you must drive a titanium. I've been mulling over that Auto-Exe kit but just don't have the $$$ to swing it. I positively love the front - it's absolutely *the* best look I've seen on the 8. Congrats and yes, POST PICS! :D

I'm thinking he's got the titanium. I've been talking to Huff about that kit he's had in stock - the only one he has, and it's ti. I wanted to buy it but knew it would find it a good home if I didn't get the $$ together fast enuf. Sounds like the kit found a good home :p

Why would an Autoexe kit come painted?

Yeah the car is Ti, Huff and I were talking about how weird it would be if we parked by each other at 7 Stock.
The kit will hit the body shop on Tuesday and will take a few days to prep/fit and paint. The guys at Vivid are awesome. I appreciate the fact that Huff has kept in touch with us about upgrades for the car while it is under construction. It makes us feel better about picking up the products when we know that he has had much success with them.

Yes, sorry.
Got the kit yesterday morning and I will say this it is worth EVERY penny. The quality of the kit is unbelievable. Very smooth even not warped. All of the edges are smooth and even. The surface of the fiberglass is perfect, no dimples.
Vivid did an excellent job packing everything the right way to keep it from getting damaged.
Talked with the body shop about time frame and they say that it should be ready to roll next Friday.
I am taking photos tomorrow of the progress.
