Badgeless or rx7 badge
#51
all acura lineup has ties back to its honda roots. so a integra with a red H emblem would tie its roots back to the type R honda's. certain U.S. NSX has a special gunmetal acura emblem, so seeing a civic with a acura of certain color for the special limited released NSX in the U.S. market would mean... poseur! now, an acura integra with a red H emblem, even though its not a type R, would mean the owner is attempting to mod their car into type R specs, and its honda racing roots.
emblems mean alot. i've looked thru some mazda history and have learned that the older emblems has a meaning signifying a phoenix raising from ashes, to the full blown phoenix arose from ashes that we have now. i have no idea where one thinks our emblem means a "M". but i suppose people modifying their emblem to look like one, called a "evil M" would make others think it means "M"...
it is really hard for rx-8 owners to use any other emblems to patronage any previous rotary without looking somewhat stupid in the process...
our newer matured phoenix badge goes well signifying its growth in the brand...so using an older mazda emblem would be ok, had you had a rotary motor from a badge of the era under that hood to pay patronage to!
so, to re-ask that question. would you laugh at a 350Z with a datsun badge? Z's started with the datsun brand, but is there any inline 6 under that hood?
