Baking Taillights ?

Its not that hard. I have helped a ton of VW buddies paint their headlight housings black.
Start with the lowest temp, wait 5 minutes. If it doesnt budge, go up the next temp setting.
It isnt hard at all. Once you get the right temp you can pry them apart with your fingers.
Once your done, get some silicone if you want put on the edges, place in the oven at the same temp to reheat the existing sealant. Take out of the oven, wrap it in a beach towel and hug the hell out of the lights. Do the last step 2 or 3 times.
Not that big of a deal to do.

if you follow what he said, you'll burn the light, so here's my idea, put it on a very very very very very very wet card board, this is very important because if it's not wet enough, you'll burn it. Then pre heat your oven to about 300 degree then put it in, i don't know how long you need to put it in there, to open the headlight for the 350Z is 7 mins, because the 8's taillight seems very easy to melt, reason i know this is because i've try using a heat gun to open it ( the same way you open the taillight on rx7 ), and it melted. I then try to force open it while the edge is still hot, and it cracked. i stop trying. and lucky i bought it on ebay for $20. oh, as for open heat, it's not as hot as a heat gun, I'm sure you can open it, but you will have to figure out how long yourself, and make sure you keep this thread update if you're going to do it. GOOD LUCK!

Sorry, don't know why you guys are making it to be such a big deal.
Here is the DYI we used on the VWs.

Highly unlikely, no issues with any of the headlights we have done.
This is including a set of German OEM Bora headlights that ran $1500 because they are OEM Projectors with Xenons.
