You will have to swap the projectors with bi-xenon projectors. There are several different projectors you can buy. Check http://www.theretrofitsource.com/ind...nec4763rpknrgb. I've tossed the idea around, but haven't done any serious research and I don't think anyone else has tried this. It will require opening your headlights and retrofitting new projectors in. Major undertaking but would be damn cool if done right.

ya i was planning on taking the headlight apart and painting it. So the High beans would be worthless. and this is wat i was thinking of doin. but would all projectors fit?

So did ur car already come with those. or did u just buy a new ballast. and does the bulb size matter. is it going to fit since the oem is different. and do u got any pics of wat u did.

It sounds like he just added two HID kits to the halogen model 8. He added a H7 and H9 kit, that's why it takes a few seconds to warm up when he turns the high beams on. Not a true bi-xenon setup, just dual HID kits. Odula, bi-xenon headlights use a single projector / single HID bulb with a moveable cutoff shield to allow more light out of the projector when the high beams are on.

As far as which projectors would fit, I'm afraid I don't know that. I doubt any would be a direct drop on fit, and some fabrication would be involved.

uhh ... thats not a true bi-xenon kit ^^

That looks like it is nothing more than two bulbs that link up to a switch that leads to the igniter/ballast. It would still take some time to charge up a separate bulb for high beams, while true bi-xenon's do not interrupt light output when switching to highbeams since it is only one bulb.

And btw, are you using a translation software of sort...

Also, why would you design something that has 2 bulbs per side for the H4 which is a single bulb application??

Above is an example of a Bi-Xenon H4 bulb. As you can see, one bulb operates under High beam and Low beam. When switching to Highbeam, the light itself moves to a different spot, manipulating cutoff and light output.

Definition :

Bi-Xenon Headlights refers to HID (High Intensity Discharge) Xenon headlights that offer both low (dipped) and high (main) beam lighting from a dual headlight system (as opposed to a quad headlight system).

In production D2S based HID systems, the cutoff shield inside the projector moves, not the bulb. The site I linked to sells OEM and after market bixenon projectors, the high beam wires connect to a solenoid that moves the cutoff shield. I wouldn't bother with any other type of setup.

Odula, your setup is not bixenon. You setup uses 4 bulbs, correct? That by definition is not bixenon.

I also think that my model is better than H4! For me there is no loss of low beams and have strong long. H4 mode Hi-Lo = bad Hi-Lo

I'm sure you see for the first time this kit! I thought it would be interesting for you.
Okay, you can have your opinion, but this thread is discussing true, two bulb, D2S, moveable cutoff shield in the projector, OEM style bi-xenon. Thanks for the input but the OP is asking about converting his current HID system to bi-xenon. And I repeat, not the cheesy H4 moving bulb or two bulb on one base pseudo-bixenon, but a real projector based system.

Click the link in my first response here, it has nothing to do with bulbs, or kits, or H4. It's projectors only. I'm talking about removing the existing projector and replacing with a new projector and using the stock D2S bulbs and ballasts.

The reason why we have never seen a product like yours is because it is the most retarded thing we have ever freaking seen. First off, you must have made the product for the ghetto civic owners who slap garbage projectors on their cars because H4 housings have only one light output cone since H4 specs integrate high and low beams. Where the hell are the other two bulbs supposed to go. Next, how exactly do you plan on making this work for an RX8 considering our harness is not an H4...

Second off, the engineer who designed that set is a complete and useless moron. What idiot told you it was smart to run two bulbs off of one ballast. What freaking ignitor is on that system taht it can arc both lights???

Next time you create a product, do some research ... sounds like you were more concerned about showing people things "they have never seen before" rather than developing a product that wont torch smoeones car.

paimon.soror, how can you give an assessment of something not seen how it works? Who said my kit is the latest fashion? I got it from the beginning of 2007! If you think my kit is crap, that means Aipex8 sell junk! Because my deck is not worse than those sold Aipex8!

I'm not a salesperson if you do not understand!

There is no sense of malice!

Okay, let's all get along and get this thread back on topic. Does anyone have a pic of an RX-8 projector from an opened headlight? Post them up. I know there are some around the forum, I'm off to search.

A few pics in this thread:

If I were to guess, I'd say this is your best bet for fitting a projector that is the same diameter as stock and will fit under the stock shroud:

I have a really good cutoff with my HIDs on my halogen projectors, its actually better than i thought, except I have some stray light above the cutoff that makes it look a tad messy. Only reason I want a retrofit is to get a more projected light as the distance through the Halogen lens is no further than a halogen bulb really. I am just too scared to tear open those $$$$ headlights lol

jtabraham, create a theme for the Bi-Xenon HID. I guess he wants to have Xenon Hi / Lo. Therefore I proposed my kit.
paimon.soror, Aipex8 - my kit is not Bi-Xenon. So I will put a link to the company of my kit (as paimon.soror, xenon for the ghetto). To see that I write about my model Double lighting Bi-Xenon 2 (2 ballast 4 bulb drive).
http://shoneche.com/light/en_products_02.htm
My kit 100% Bi-Xenon!

paimon.soror, read this! Site of GHC!

"Guang Her Cheng is becoming one of the leading manufacturer of HID ballast and conversion kit in Taiwan and enjoyed high reputation due to its low defect for OEM and ODM orders in global market such as in Asia, America and European countries etc."

Geto? Retarded?

jtabraham, if desired Bi-Xenon projector of this type which showed Aipex8. Okay

Thanks for the link, but it only proves a point, no where on that site is the term "bi-xenon" used. They call their kit "dual xenon" which is what I referred to your setup as in the beginning.

The term Bi-Xenon was created by auto manufacturers and there are NO auto manufacturers that use a two bulb system. The reason for this, and the reason that I would recomend against a system like yours, or adding a second HID kit for the high beams is that typically when in a situation that requires high beams, you are turning them off and on over and over as other cars come down the road. Turning an HID bulb off before it is warmed up is very bad for it and will significantly shorten the life of the bulb.

Don't get me wrong, I believe your kit has dual xenon, xenon for hi and low and all that, but that doesn't make it "bi-xenon." In the end, you can call it whatever you like, but arguing about it over and over is getting old and derailing this thread.

Why attend in the name of the kit, Bi-Xenon? The models are different. If you do not pay attention!

That the name of the Bi-Xenon Producers set of two ballast - 2 lamps not mean that the provision of kit Hi / Lo on another principle, not was Bi-Xenon! Do not argue, from where it started and + / -.

Bi-Xenon = Hi / Lo. That's the idea.

+ / - Is a separate issue!

I will tell you that I have set since 2007 and today it worked without a problem. Saint perfect Hi / Lo, 2007-2011 year. No need to change bulbs / ballasts 2007-2011 time. You must ask yourself what is happening in this ballast to avoid ruining bulbs?
If you install two sets will be the same! Then you're worried about bulbs.
In my kit has provided fire!
Consider how you will work if installed two sets. Whenever starting Lo run two ballast. Here are now shortens the life of bulbs.

You can comment on. Without attack

Lol my favorite two parts of his translation software:

"In my kit has provided fire!"

"xenon for the ghetto"

paimon.soror, you're sick! Having nothing to say, keep quiet! How many languages are you talking about? Communicating mine? I am glad that not everybody in ClubRX8 like you. If a foreigner in my country wrote in the forum and someone made fun of errors! He who laughs will get a bad attitude by all! You have no education!
