Body Kit Is Finally ON!!!
I must admit, the combination of the Veilside Front Lip with the MazdaSpeed sideskirts did take some time to get used to but it turned out better than I had thought. Once my front lip was painted, I took it immediately to get a custom clear bra on it.
I took it to Omega Tintwerks in Pleasanton, CA. Vincent was the owner and installer. He's a very cool guy...and I automatically knew he was a perfectionist when he started judging the guy who did my original tint and clear bra...noting all of the imperfections and the unprofessionalism that showed on the car. Of course, I'm just your average joe who thinks it looks good as it is. I highly recommend him since he did it fast and he did it good.
The only thing that I have to gripe about this entire process was:
1) The Veilside front lip doesn't sit completely flush to the car as much as I had hoped. I guess the double-backing tape doesn't stick as well and my front end sagged slightly.
2) The Titanium Gray paint code 29y seems to matches the darker lower portion of the MazdaSpeed sideskirts. I guess that is more of the bodyshop's fault than anything. Sometimes I look at it and I like the darker color...but sometimes I want it to match more to the body color. Who knows, must be a mood thing.
I'll post some pics up soon.

Ha....I was wondering how many posts it would take before someone starts picketing....haha.
I didn't take pics because it was already dark when I got home. But there will be some tomorrow.

Yeah, the paint thing bothers me a little bit...
but it does match the MazdaSpeed sideskirt trim. However, depending on the lighting conditions, it matches the body and on bright days, it doesn't.

does your front lip lower than your sideskirt? or is it just my eye can i see the side view of it anyway i like your front lip
ps:i've problem too with those lip, seem the tape doesn't stick much with it,so my man just made some brackets to hold and put 2 screw on it.

Foo77: Yeah, that tape thing really sucks so I had to improvise. That pic that you posted with the sideskirts are just FUGLY! That is what I'm trying to avoid.
Well, I'm glad that people are voicing their opinions on the kit. I personally don't expect everyone to like it, but I'm just glad that people are telling me as it is instead of BSing me just to make me feel better.
I personally think it looks pretty good. I don't like the sideskirts to look super dramatic and just lines everywhere.

As for the Veilsdei V1 Lip. I prefer full replacements, don't like the Mazda front air dam either as both look to 'stuck on' the Veilside especially, give the car that Jimmy Hill chin look... but as long as you like!

I'm not a fan of the front lip. But, it would look a lot better if it lined up with the lines of the car (red lines below). Why doesn't it? fitment issues? looks very tacked on the way it is now.
Maybe try to massage it up there.
