Body kit import

Hi

Iam from the UK and have just brought an RX8. Iam looking for a body kit but UK sites seem to have low quality material body kit, iv experienced one in the past with my old car, it cracked when going over a bump. Can anyone recommend a good site that will have the kit in stock, and will deliver international. Iam after the mazda speed style kit or the auto bahn kit.

Thanks

Why not call Autobahn direct?
Anywhere you buy on this side of the Atlantic, the shipping is gonna KILL you.

Hi Thanks for the reply everyone, I have finally found a UK site which has a good bodykit in stock, the M-1 speed bodykit, which i believe is a mazda speed replica, material is polyurethane, which i have read is a hard material and better in the long run. Cost me £1300 for the whole kit ($2600USD) it seem they import it from america from extreme dimension, any of you guys over there know if their kits are any good?

Thanks

Oh noes. Extreme Dimension is basically hated by most members on the forum. Apparently fitment just isnt an issue, its downright impossible most of the time.

Oh man. From what I understand you already purchased this kit... asking if a company is any good is THE absolute wrong question to ask after putting down a couple thousand on anything. You paid alot of money for a kit that will probably run you twice what the original kit costs after you've had it installed and painted. As some people say, ED has the absolute worst replica kits.

Life is full of lessons and this is yet another lesson learned to the tried and tested "You get what you pay for." Yes an authentic mazdaspeed kit will run you over $4000 in just the kit alone but its the best fitting kit on the market. All you need to do is get it painted and you're done. Playing with replica kits is like Russian Roulette. You dont know if the kit you're buying is gonna blow your brains out, or wallet.

Pay the money, get the real thing, save yourself a ton of money later on and alot of headache. Even if a replica ends up costing you the same as an authentic kit, you save yourself time and trouble.

After paying a couple thousand dollars, you wont be happy with anything less than perfect. Can you honestly say that about some replica cuz you tried to save money?

hmmm, doesnt sound too good, the problem with the MS kit is i cant get a company to import it to me, all the companies I found were unable to import to UK which really sucks. Original MS kit from mazda here iam told will cost me £4000+ ny a dealer ($8000) which is alot of money for a body kit. Let just pray when the kit arrives the fitment is not as bad as some have mentioned, I will have to problably pay £700 for spraying and fitting
