Brake Calibers and Testor's Model Paint

I read in another thread that Testor's model paint works great on brake calipers. The best part is the wide array of colors. Has anyone tried this paint? I would like opinions as I am looking for the same orange as the Japanese lettering for Shinka is painted in.

Thank you for the input.

I haven't tried it, but I don't know if it will stand up to the heat generated by the brakes.

I doubt it would stay too long with all the heat, I would just use the normal caliper paint

I used Testor's model paint on my MX-3 calipers, and the effect was very nice. It was very glossy and actually held up for about a year. One of the problems was that it took a LONG time to dry initally, which was kind of inconvenient, but not a huge deal. The main issue is that the paint is very soft and once you get a couple stone chips in it, the paint will start flaking away. I touched it up several times, and now I've neglected it for a while. Now I think you can see more of the metal than paint.

I will definitely buy a regular caliper paint kit next time!

Thanks for all the help...the problem is I can't find caliper paint in the color I need and I can't find anywhere that can mix/make it. I'm still looking though.
