Calling all RX8s lowered with Mazdaspeed kit
#79
It's actually not nearly as bad as people make it out to be, I have cylinders in the rear and strut bags up front, plus it's all controlled digitally and I can adjust each wheel individually. I've taken it out to some of my favorite roads and it handles/rides just fine, eventually I plan on getting a nicer setup (they make some that utilize adjustable KYB struts and sleeved bags) and then it will be just about the same as coilovers when all is said and done, only I'll be able to lay it out for shows etc.

If you want to just go lower Sprint Springs would be the cheapest... If you want performance and adjustability get coilovers... Or you could go in the middle with Koni Yellows, will give your better perfomance and will be a little lower for a price in the middle of the two.

in the "sportruck" pictures my trunk is just down and not closed, when it's closed it looks normal. The vents are from rotaryfx, I looked at all the other options out there when I was shopping around last year and some of the prices for the other ones were ridiculous, or I just didn't like them or felt like they wouldn't go with the car etc. plus I didn't want to take a chance with something coming over from Japan not arriving on time since we had a deadline last year for Sema. I really like the ones I got, they fit well, and if something ever happens to them they'll be easy enough to replace.

^ ok cool - so they stay on ok? do you drive your car as a dd still? it's just double-sided tape, right? no clips?...i've been hesitant to buy from them, but their vents look good.

yes, they're held on with 3m tape, same stuff oem's use for trim panels etc. If I go grab onto them and yank the crap out of them for sure they'll come off, as far as just driving around probably not so much. I've had them for almost a year now, driven the car a couple of times since then, no problems as of yet. I don't have to drive the car every day anymore so I choose not to, I had a lot of parts repainted last year, fenders, doors, front bumper, sideskirts, so I might take it out for a short drive around to run the engine and get some revs etc. but I have a seperate vehicle for daily driving now, makes it a lot easier to work on not having to rely so much upon it anymore.
