There was a picture posted some time ago where someone had roughed out an exhaust that exited through a single tip that was fed through where the rear rotor shape is under the rear bumper. Stinger style, like a Boxter. I think he's the one who built a full cage and huge strut tower braces into the car. He made the comment that he tends to over-build - sound like anyone who still posts?

The stock exhaust muffler has a dummy pipe right behind the rear rotor shape in the bumper.

I reckon if someone fabricated a exhaust tip rotor shaped extension to bolt up to this would make a killing.

All the ricer 8 owners would jump on it straight away!

It would work, but it's more form than function.

Yeah. There's quite a few of them here as well.

Speaking of the many ricers on this forum, I forgot to mention the rotor-shaped "ram-air" intake tube for the bottom of the front bar as well.

Guaranteed to give you an extra 15hp at the wheels and is finished in titanium to save you 200g in weight.

LOL

funny this was posted. me and one of my friends though of this months ago. that a rotor shaped exhaust would make a killing. and if anyone fabricated them... hmmm... i think they would look cool. even if they made it just as a tip to replace the current circular shape.

RotaryHog, who is from Scottland, said he had some handmade 3" rotary tips made for his RX-8. Unfortunately, he only has a few posts, never posted a picture and hasn't posted anything since June. I have his email address, as he purchased an RX-8 logo third brake light mask mod from me off of ebay way back in May. I'll prod him for pics and see what I can find out.

Try again, if it continues to do that, send me a PM with your email address and I will send the pic to you that way. For me, the pic loads just fine.

I did get hold of RotaryHog and he promissed to send some photos of the real ones. I am going to start checking into seeing if there is a possiblilty of having these made some place for a curiosity.
