Great hood. I have it on my own RX8. I'd highly suggest having it layered with 3M clearbra or a similar material to prevent oxidation and fading of the clear coat. Otherwise in about 2 years of sun you'll probably need to repaint the hood.

I've had my hood for nearly 3 years and it looks as good as the day I installed it.

I will agree with Flashwing... I have my Seibon CF TS hood and the clear gel was decent... unfortunately my hood got keyed, in an unfortunate way it forced me to get a clear coat, and it looks amazing, so much better than the old clear gel coat. Best thing is it now wont fade!!!

I was originally supposed to go with the TSII but settled for the TS... Seibon's hood have awesome fitment and with just very little tweaking it was perfect. I just havn't gotten around to clear coating it yet...

You save perhaps a little weight contrast to the stock aluminum hood, and it's stronger. That's about it. Overall it depends though on what type of CF and how much CF they use to structure it.

From what I know dry CF is a lot more expensive yet yields lighter weight than wet CF. Wet CF in general can still be lighter than a metal counterpart all depending on how many layers are used w/ resin to get the finished product. Excessively using too much material in anything will yield more weight than the stock part.
