Carbon Fiber Mazdaspeed wings

I know the Carbon Fiber Mazdaspeed wings are knockoffs, but I have also seen a lot of photos of them on cars, looking fine fitment-wise. While I've pulled up every thread I could find, I've seen people post that they like their knockoffs and it fit fine, and others said it was trash-worthy. Most are referring to the 200$ knockoffs however.

I have a BB and I like carbon fiber with black.. so I really would like to go with the CF version of the MS wing.. but Im looking for some input on people who have them. If any fit fine, what vendor did they use, etc. At least if there are any vendors besides the original MS that have a decent version out there.

They look like **** in person, I have seen many of them. Some guy in one of the FB groups posted up some pics, they were horrible as well. Let me find them.

Thanks. Appreciate it. If I have to go with the original Mazda one and paint it black, I will do that (though I need a lil longer to put aside the extra pennies for that version) but was hoping there was a decent CF vendor out there.

I saw the more recent thread, photos posted here, and that is a serious turn-off.

Those brackets look like something used to break out of Alcatraz.

Yeah that's terrible. Brackets aren't a major concern, that could easily be replaced with the legitimate brackets... but that lower wing section that sits on the trunk is horrid.

I doubt those brackets are sold separately from Mazda. But I don't see the appeal anyway, CF is so played out.

I've seen the actual brackets offered somewhere, don't recall where at the moment.

I don't care for carbon fiber as much on lighter cars, I mean, it's fine, but going along side what you said... but on black I think it's nice cause it blends in but up close it is obviously CF.. and honestly, I've never put it on any of my cars so for me it would be a new thing :P

Feed sells bracket extenders for the MS wing but I don't think you can buy just the brackets. If you want the CF look then just get a real MS wing and have it hydrodipped.

At that point I would probably just get it color matched, but a possibility.

I think my effort on those brackets is better. Hey look, I made a thing.

Unfortunately only the one side has the nice finish. I'm going to try and get a better product to cut them out of, but they actual brackets are not quite 90°. Closer to 100°. These are about 3mm thick. The product I'm looking at is about 5mm thick.

I have one of the carbon fiber wings, and it seems fine for finish, but I've only test fit it. It may need a little work. I'm going to get it paint matched, but I wanted a little hint of carbon without going over the top. My trunk is the actual problem. I need some repair work done to fix mounting points, they've started to rust.

Man they look awful. The brackets look like **** and the spoiler itself is in terrible condition. Carbon fiber should be smooth and fit properly. I never seen carbon fiber like these before.
