i have a VIS hood and it fits perfect. can't say much about the difference in weight but i've gotten a lot of compliments on it. i'm not sure if i like the contrast in color from my sunlight silver. i initially wanted the veilside hood but back then it was on back order for 3 months. i think it's still on back order but when it's available, i might sell my cf hood for the veilside. i'll post up some pics of my hood tomorrow.

OK Got my hood, let me cut through the bull crap...When you first install it there is a huge gap at the front almost a half inch and on the side like a 1/4 inch....NOw I had to burr the second hole on the hood hinge so I would be able to move my hood forward and also had to cut down the left little rubber grommet so it would close properly. Note that you have to remove your old lock latch on the stock hood and add it to your new CF hood...I have to say I am no mechanic but after some serious ajustments this hood fits awesome and looks so good I needed to be alone with it so I could have my way with her.....by the way speed your hood on those pics seem to have a gap at the front and does not look as good as mine..I will post some pics asap.

just a slight bit off for my taste... is there a way to adjust my hood fitment? or should I make a small bracket to slightly raise it up on the hook in front so it lines up much better? could use your expert advise here guys... I like it a lot, and I will post pics of car as soon as it fits to my satisfaction...![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks!!!
(its not that big a deal, but I would like it with a little bit better fit and all... :D )

Are you able to post some pics of your hood? If you need to resize it you can use one of your photo programs on your computer and save it into a smaller file size so it allows you to post it. I don't believe any Carbon hood will fit like your OEM hood there are always going to be problems with gaps here and there but there are ways to get around it usually. I have run into a hood on my other car where it just was totally off and there was no way it could be fixed. It took a long time to get that straightened out but in the end I got a better fitting hood. That was on a Honda Civic.
The hood we received from SEIBON is pretty much perfect out of the box. Pretty much means that we had to tweak it here and there but all I did was raise the latch and loosen my front bumper bolts near the top and push the bumper in a little more closer to the hood to minimize the gap and then retightened the bolts.
Maybe you just need a TSUNAMI front bumper to get rid of the gap in the front.

See if you can get those pics up otherwise email them to me and I can try and post them up.
