okay, finally got the bumper home
I brought the bumper home today and set it in my basement. I ordered my smoked grey Rotary accent light today and I still have to get my metal mesh and paint it black and install it on the bumper and then I will put the bumper back on the car and take better pictures for you guys.
Just some quick pics with my phone...

Oh for those of you curious to know the technical name for the metal mesh that closely matches the same pattern as the fake factory plastic, it's Flattened Extruded Metal. It comes in different sizes obviously but I spent a night searching for the right stuff and I finally came across it.

Got the metal mesh yesterday
I spent a couple of hours today cutting and bending my mesh. It needs a little more trimming but it's looking really good. I was a little concerned about the size of the cutouts but I think it will be okay, if anything it will be close to the front bumper cutouts.
Now all I have to do is paint it black and bond it to the bumper and it will be ready for my Lebren Rotary Accent Light.

The DIY really needs to be compiled into the first post or even first page of this thread. It's not really helpful switching back and fourth between pages and posts to read the steps.

I dont know how to change my thread title, but I understand what you are saying. After I started the thread it didnt look like the normal DIY writeup...sorry

What the rest said about it being compiled into the first post. However this is a pretty nice little project i could do with ditching my faded plastic rear bumper parts but i dont think it would have the same effect with VR. Maybe if i just had it painted matte black it would look better.
Edit: It would be good too if you could show how you mated the mesh to the bumper.

Basically I got impatient and didnt want to wait the 24 hours that the bonding adhesive called for so I tried 3M's two part super fast set plastic repair. It literally sets up in 5 minutes!
I sanded 4 spots on the backside of the bumper so the repair compound had bare plastic to bond to...since thats what it's meant to do, and basically encapsulated the mesh in the plastic compound. Make sure you spray the adhesion promotor on those bare spots for maximum adhesion.
Pics like I promised...
