Custom Decals

Hey folks! I've been lurking for a few months now. I picked up my RX-8 about 2 weeks ago and have been accused of getting a smile surgically implanted on my face! I love my 8, but the factory "MAZDA" text and logo emblems had to go! Now I don't get the 16 year old girls at the gas station saying, "oh look, a Mazda, just like mine. he he" (they're driving 3's or 6's that their parents bought for them). Uh, yeah a Mazda, but NOT just like yours! But I do have to admit the 'chick magnet' factor is pretty cool....
Anyway, the only factory decal/logo still left on the body is the "RX-8". All others have been removed. I'm a bit disappointed that they actually punched holes in the body to align and mount the decals. (some manufacturers just 'stick' the logos on). Anyway, the question is: does anyone know of someone or a company who can make custom logos. Stickers would work, but I'd rather raised emblems. I haven't fully thought out what I'm going to do about the holes in the front end and the trunk, but new custom logos which are just mine may do the trick. My first thought was to have them filled & painted. I've also considered getting some 'old school' racing stripes from the front to back (like the BMW Mini).
Anybody done anything like that? Thoughts? Comments?
It's kind of cool now, at gas stations people ask what it is. On the road I get tailed and eye-balled for a mile or two while I watch people debate who made the car. If I had something custom that would really confuse the daylights out of the lookey-loos.

WELCOME
I painted mine to match.
You could get it debadged and have the holes filled (about $500)
or buy a carbon fiber trunk on Ebay.
I don't know of any custom emblem makers.
I'm going to get mine re-painted by Dmenac7 pretty soon. They are going to be a kind of black chrome color

What color is yours ?

I actually was planning on taking off the mazda logos on the front and back and putting Batman logos on there. Nobody better steal this idea or I will kill you I promise that. I'm getting them eventually. Theres a place I found online that does custom, I think it's 3 and a half inches wide by two inchs tall and raised about a half an inch. I'll try and find it again.

Oh yeah I think for my two logos it would been like 500-600 bucks it's really expensive.

Ahh I found it. http://www.motorheadjewelry.com/customtg.html Yeah it's 350 to make the logo and 80 per piece. So you should set something up where like 10 people on here buy them and it'll be cheaper per person. That would be an interesting buy.

Got to admit that the painted logos tone it down a bit, but not enough. I don't mind paying to get custom logos (won't steal Batman; need a one off - just mine and mine alone deal).
Snoochie, if you find the address of the shop which makes custom logos please post it!
My 8 is the Sunlight Silver w/ black & red interior. So here's the 'style' question of the day: I really like the silver, but it's not enough. Since I have about a half dozen holes in the front and back of the car, I have to do something about it. One option is to get some custom accent paint over the silver to really make it more sharp than it already is! Not full body repaint, but just stripes or something cool (not some dorky stickers; real paint). Option 2 is to get my custom emblems and leave it silver. Since I'm talking professional body/paint shop, 500 to 600 bucks puts me in the door, not much else.
People laugh at me, but I know that there are at least 4 identical 8's in Denver. Got to do something about that!

Alpha Romeo.......

I used to put random badges on my cars just to see the 'double takes'!

My brother was in Taiwan on business, brought me an Alpha Romeo.....handed me a big envelope with all the OEM stickers, logos and badges to make any car an Alpha! He explained that all that junk is made in local factories, and often ends up in shops dedicated to 'rebadging'. Strange, but typically Taiwanese!

Yeah also with the designs they cannot just copy another design (I already tried it with the batman logo) for copyright reasons. But what you do is sketch something and fax it over to them and they work off of that. It's really badass and something I would like to do eventually. When I do I'll put up a thread for a group buy to make it cheaper overall. And Stealth let us all know the next time your brother goes over to taiwan. hehe

The Mazda tags don't bother me. The name is just not an issue. I could care less if 16 year old girls say even if they have a Mazda fam member. That's just me however. Guess I am posting for the heck of it then.

I had my alignment post holes covered a painted for 100 bucks. They were worried that they charged me too much too. I check another place and they said 150.

The job was done perfectly, I have a black, and can see every imperfection, but you can't tell I had it debadged.

Yeah it would be, but if your gonna go as far as to put a batman symbol there, then efini shouldn't matter. I love the way my 8 looks as it is.

What is an "Alpha Romeo". My dad does business in Tawain and something like that would be easy to get.
