"PICS" Custom made eyelids
I went ahead and made this thread in regards to the custom fiberglass eylids I am making. I have already made quite a few sets. I will post some pics when I get back home this weekend.
They are made from weaved fiberglass and resin, cut, sanded, and feathered edges, primed and ready to paint. I used a bottle of the mazda touch-up paint and an airbrush to paint them. I only have the nordic green color. But depending on how many of you want them I will most likely buy all of the colors so I can make them for everyone. One bottle of touch-up paint will paint 3 sets of eyelids. I use a clearcoat after I paint them to protect them from scraches and mild road dirt.
They look just like the eyelids made by r-magic. I also have made vinyl eylids you put on underneath the fiberglass ones, This keeps dirt from getting under the eylids and scratching the headlights, So if you ever want to remove them all of the scratches will be on the vinyl and not on the 800.00 headlights.
I will most likely be selling these eyelids for ...
*** MOD EDIT: Please do not discuss prices unless you're a forum vendor. Thanks. ***
The sets I have made look very professional and will fit perfect, Double sided 3M tape is used to secure the eyelids to the headlights.
Well I just got back home, these are a set that are primed, I will be painting them tomorrow. I currently have 6 sets of these made. Sorry about the night pics, but I know you guys wanted to see these things, I will post more pics tomorrow of the painted ones. They are 3mm thick, feathered edges, and fit perfectly.

they are 3mm thick. I went by a mazda dealership today and picked up some paint, Red, blue, silver, grey ect... I will have the pics posted this weekend, most likely saturday afternoon.
The paint only costs six bucks a bottle, its only an ounce but it is enough to paint three sets of eyelids, using the airbrush. I know how annoying this can be talking about something and not having any pics, but I will post this weekend.
