custom modified bumpers
i have made some pretty drastic mods to my bumpers just because im not a big fan of most of the kits they offer for our cars, and i have had a bit of spare time at work ( body shop) so i made some changes. my front bumper is a veilside replica that i picked up here in town. i shortened the bumpers bottom lip by about 2 " so it wouls sit the same as stock, also i made the lip smaller so it didnt stick out so far. last but not least i shaved the marker lights for a cleaner look. the rear bumper is part of the stock bumper and part of a 3 series bmw bumper that i bonded together. this was a pain in the *** but i thought it would look cool, also im building a custom exhaust and putting a set of lexus ls460 exhaust tips in the outer openings of the bumper. im still in the middle of my motor swap and havent had a chance to put them on the car yet but im curious to see what you guys think... heres some pics

Get her painted and installed then I can tell you what I think. From what I see I like the back. Just put some screen in it to fill the gap in the middle on the bottom.
Should be different for sure.

well i have to do urethane and plastic repair on bumpers everyday at work so i have alot of practice and materials to play with. I used a flexible repair epoxy from 3M to bond them and a flexible epoxy filler also from 3M to finish off thr transition lines. If your goin to try this yourself and havent ever done it I must warn you, the glue is very exspesive(40-45$) per tube an you have to buy the applicator gun (65$) to even use the material. And If you want it to work get online and read the process in wich this stuff works and do EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS or it will not work properly. good luck if you try and post pics.

i do like a big *** most of us do. but as far as the bumper goes ummm im a lil lost as to what you mean...maybe i misunderstood or the pics didnt really do it justice...ill take a side veiw and post that up...If you look at the stock bumper from the side the black piece that i cut off sticks out about 1 1/16". mine just has a smooth transition all the way down now....

umm name of the process....??? custom urethane bumper bonding i guess lol... and not its not the easiest thing to take on. and i dont know of many shops that will take on this kinda work or if they even will. most guys would prefer to do fiberglass work to make it simple and cheaper but the finished product just isnt as nice and durable...If you do pay a shop to do this i cant imagine it being even remotly cheap. i will take some business though i love doing cutom crazy stuff.

I was thinking of removing the exhaust guards (item 2), cutting out the fake grill from inside the rear lower black portion, leave the rest in place, and then mold the bottom of the bumper cover ends to cover the missing guards.
I have an idea of a downward facing exhuast that will not require holes in the rear bumper for an exit. Let me know your thoughts, and I'm ready to get started.
