DDMTuning = Garbage

I ordered one of their H7 slim HID kits for my RX-8 to replace the stock halogen. Kit quality doesn't look terrible but all they give you for mounting is some cheap dual adhesive and some zip ties. I've purchased cheaper, crappier HID kits off of eBay that at least came with a metal mounting kit that you could modify as well.

When I went to install them I immediately noticed that the factory bulb had much more bulk. When I installed them and clipped them down they would still move freely. The bulb fit inside the housing right (which makes me think it is an H7) but because the plastic on the back of it was so much smaller it wouldn't fit at all. No matter what I did I could not get them to securely stay in place like the stock bulbs. Curiosity took over so I hooked them all up and turned them on to see what they looked like. Wow, garbage. Because my passenger side was still stock I had the chance to compare them. Stock had 2-3 times more light output where as the HID bulb scattered light all over the place no matter what I did or how I turned it (keep in mind it was STILL fastened down yet I could turn and move the bulb freely). I also noticed that the ballast made quite a bit more noise than any ballast I've heard in the past. Now when I say quite a bit more noise it was still pretty quiet, but I'm used to ballasts that make absolutely no noise at all.

It doesn't fit, the light output is ****, and the ballast was a little noisy. I know it's a cheap kit and all but I've used/installed plenty of cheap kits in the past that were MUCH nicer than these. I can't say this is a kit I'd recommend to anyone and definitely not to you guys. I'm just going to try to get my money back, and if I can't they're going straight to the trash. I wouldn't even feel right selling them to another RX-8 owner. Lesson learned.

What's a higher-quality kit that people have used with success on these cars? Thanks in advance!
